VCA is an absolutely awful arena to take in a hockey game. The Dink is almost an amazing place for a game next to that Morgue. They have some nice training facilities there but you almost feel bad for making any noise there.

Gosh, wouldn't it me nice to say that one rink is tooooo big, and one rink is tooooo small, so we'll build one that's jusssst right. Sounds like a fairy tale anywhere other than at The Enormous State University.

Sorry to see this happen, but I thought that OSU was giving him a lot of slack the last few years. .500 in any sport is not acceptable at THE Ohio State University. Actually, I think that one of his problems was Value City Arena. Markell once said that it was a fantastic place to bring recruits ... except on game day. Looked and felt empty with a few thousand fans.

hahaha yeah Value City Arena has one of the worst college hockey atmosphere's I've ever seen. If anything they need to build a smaller arena! VCA has some outragous 17,000-seat capacity for college hockey, that only North Dakota and Minnesota wouldnt have trouble filling on a regualar basis. OSU needs a modest 8,000-10,000 seat arena, not too big, not too small.

I will also say that he has won more games over the last 15 years, than our BG coaches have combined. As a BG fan I wouldn't mind it if our record was 280-267-56 over the last 15 years. Plus a Frozen Four appearance and a CCHA Tournament Title.

I'll take 7 CCHA championships and a national title over that. Thanks.
