Now as far as shooting the puck goes, any puck on net has a chance of making something happen, far to often we see guys carry the puck when they have a shot, or try to make the pretty pass when they could shoot. Nothing goes in untill the puck is shot. There are many players who need to be told to shoot the puck, you rarely will have a player who is told to not shoot the puck. It is a skill that needs to be developed, primarily because from youth on up early the kids pounded with pass the puck, as shooting is some how deemed selfish. Shooting is not the "problem" it is the kid who repeatedly attempts to dangle and drag through 4 guys to shelf one from the paint.
I view this as a quality steal from UND, primarily because UND is a recruiting machine, deservingly so based on thier high caliber program and this guy did not want wait to get in the NCAA show.
SO to Mr. Mike Fink I say welcome to the FALCONS, and SHOOT THE EFFING PUCK!
