I really think this Henderson kid is going to be a BEAST!

We also tried to sign, but missed out on 7' Sr. Center Tom Herzog, who played sparingly at Michigan State the past few years. He's going to Central Florida instead... where... I guess it's warm in January or something.

How DID we get Henderson? That seems almost too good to be true. Is his game any different that our current guards?

Yeah, his game is completely different... he's a creator... fast... and a scorer when he needs to be.

And how did we get him? I'm guessing having a former Toledo City League POY, who happens to be the all-time leading scorer at Ohio State with an NBA championship ring to boot on our staff didn't hurt... ;-)

Yeah, I would assume they would. Nice get for us. Could be that explosive penetrating guard that we've been missing for so long.

I thought he would be an excellant post player for us. Great experience and he could play this year. Oh well, Henderson is a good kid that can play both inside and outside.

A 6'2 guard that can penetrate and create with the ball in his hands? COULD IT TRULY BE!?

We haven't had one since Ron Lewis flaked out...could we finally have a player that makes the team fun to watch again!? I hope he pans out...I'm anxious to see him play!

Really stoked to get Henderson...we desperately need some gaurds who can create thier own offense. Ogelsby gives us an experienced guy with some size...Torian...don't worry about the offense, just give us some defense and rebounding and we'll love ya... Not all that broken up about not landing Herzog...everything that I've heard about the kid is that he's a stiff...7 footer or no, the rep is that he is not a D1 talent...

I had some concerns about coach Orr's recruiting, but this class looks solid...very solid.

In the shoulda woulda coulda category, it will be interesting to see what kind of PT and stats Cameron Madlock gets at NIU. I wonder if he gained 30 pounds?
I don't remember him playing much after the 2nd or 3rd preseason game, so it is tough to picture the kid in the paint.

This has shaped up to be a very solid recruiting class. I'm psyched for Henderson, Toledo City POTY - that's awesome. I've seen videos of Oglesby dunking - the guy jumps out of the building. He started playing basketball relatively late, some hopefully he has much more blossoming in him.

This team, although green, will have a decidedly different profile on the front line. We part with 3 blue collar low-post, physical, position rebounders who relied on size and experience. With Sealy, Oglesby, Calhoun, McElroy, Black, and Haynes, we'll have a group of smaller, more mobile leapers. It will be exciting to see who emerges. This will be the best group of leapers and dunkers that we've had in quite a while.

Fox Toledo had a story claiming UT was putting on the full court press and selling this kid on being the "face" of UT basketball with 40+ minutes a night for 4 years.
