So GB has been gone now for almost 2 years. Try some new material, Nathan.

He is very passionate about this job and knows that there is a lot of pressure to do well and can't wait until they start playing the games!! He says he wants to be here forever, that this is not a stepping stone to something else!! His family is very excited about moving here too. He's been impressed with the number of people who have reached out to him already (former players, community, etc...). He has the high expectations that we all want from our players: accountability in the classroom, community and on ice performance, all at HIGH standards!
This sounds EXCELLENT!!!

So has he any thoughts on golf outings, etc? Or was it just an initial social visit?

I think what Mike is trying to say is that GB has been gone for two years so maybe it's time to retire the GB pinata and find another, more current, whipping boy...

Like Barack Obama...ripping on him shouldn't start too much trouble 'round these parts... :-)

As a matter of fact, we spent about half of the hour talking about the alumni golf outing. This year it will be alumni players only, since he's new and still trying to get a handle on everything.
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I nominate GC as the whipping boy!!!!!!! If you have doubts, look at his win/loss record since he's been here. That is just a START! :axe:

That's exactly what I was saying. I didn't think it was difficult to comprehend but I guess I was mistaken.

Makes sense. If the alumni buy-into him, it can and should help in many ways.
