Hotel Recommendations
We are coming into town for the Alumni and Friends weekend in June and wondering about hotels in BG. I am currently looking at the Days Inn, the Quality Inn and the Best Western Falcon Plaza. Do you have any recommendations on those three? Positives/negatives? It will be my wife and two kids and we really are only looking for a clean, comfortable room to sleep in.

Re: Hotel Recommendations
If you want clean and comfortable, I'd go with the Hampton or Holiday Inn Express. Might want to skip the Victory Inn.

Re: Hotel Recommendations
Hampton hands down..... When you have two kids... three words.... pool continental breakfast.
We have also done well at the Falcon Plaza (Best Western) - no pool, but nice rooms. Get the center building.

Re: Hotel Recommendations
Make a reservation somewhere else and call the Hampton Inn every so often before the event. They'll have a cancellation and you'll get in, then cancel the other one.bgsufn wrote:LOL... saw that thread. I got a room on for homecoming weekend on Tuesday of that week a couple of years ago.

Interestingly enough, I called Hampton and they said that their owner also owns the Days Inn.

Re: Hotel Recommendations
That would explain why it is so nicely redone now, somebody with money owns it. Now if we could get them to buy the Elks lodge and build there. And buy-out the Victory and Knights Inn.bgsufn wrote:Interestingly enough, I called Hampton and they said that their owner also owns the Days Inn.
