The 2005 Wisconsin Game

Post by niucob86 »

Hey Falcons:
I wasn't sure if the Falcons played the Badgers recently.
But not quite sure if you should make the trip to Madison? I would like to encourage you to do so. It is a wonderful experience. Please allow me to share some information as NIU played the Badgers in 2002. Hopefully the BGSU Alumni Association will host a tent event for Falcon fans. The NIU Alumni Association gave me a pair of tickets in Section LL. I did not care for them.

Oddly, the NIU ticket office had what I thought were better tickets in Sections U and V. So a word of caution there. Like many places, Labor Day weekend is a traffic mess in Northern Illinois and SE Wisconsin. Try to make an extended weekend of it and hit Milwaukee. The Brewers are bad but Miller Park is impressive. The Crew battles San Diego. Parking can be tough around Camp Randall but the shuttle system from outlying lots is adequate. I wish I could go but hopefully I'll be in Ann Arbor watching the Huskies.
Over and out.

Wisconsin and Boise State are not in the cards for me in 2005...every other game, we'll be there! After having to sit home for the GMAC Bowl, I am saving money and enough vacation days for a possible MACC and Bowl game in the 2005 season. Plus, I'd rather take my boys to Ball State, WMU, EMU...ect. I feel it is much more important to have the Freaklings experience the MAC stadiums than the Big Ten....not to mention much more affordable.

I'll gladly wait until 2006 to see BG/UW when we host them at Cleveland Browns Stadium.

I hope there are already plans in the works to deck the lower railings around the field with all kinds of BG that day. I can't picture if there's anything on there now that says "Cleveland Browns", and if there is, there would be a deal with the Browns to leave some of their markings visible, but if not, that whole wall around the backs of the endzones should SCREAM Bowling Green!

'87,
If it comes down to the MACC and a bowl game vs. road games at UW and BSU? NO contest. Plus, UW and BSU games will be on ESPN...UW game may even be on ABC.
Will hang with you for sure! What game(s) are you looking at attending in '05? We have plenty of room at the Nest if ya need lodging!

Freak:

We'll have to seen how the Falcons FB sked jibes with Noah's FB sked. If I had my druthers, I'd like to see the Temple game: Should be nice weather, plus it's one game I figure BG will need help getting butts in the seats.

I'll be there, so any tips you can provide are so appreciated. No knock against the MAC, but everyone should experiance the thrill of 75K fans and it's even better when the Falcon fans fill up our section and provide our team with the much needed support...and there is absolutely nothing like silencing the crowd, ala Purdue. Based on the way we finished the season, I think we got a real shot to make some more history and I don't want to miss this one.

Class of 61 and I were at that Purdue game...I would like to go but those 2 games just won't leave me enough vacation time or money...plus, the Wisky and Boise State games have no bearing on the MAC. I want to win the MAC!! I think we can win both games but that will be difficult.

Also, the Freaklings EXPECT to go to every game now. 'Tis a thing of beauty, especially for their Grandma that is always trying to shove OSU down their throats. Josh is constantly drawing BG pictures these days and Jake is right behind him. These 2 boys will be Falcons 4 LIFE.

My evil, twisted plan is working to the fullest.
