Football Starts this Week!

CFL football that is. Kicks off on Canada Day this year. I know a lot of people think it's silly or wierd or weak yadda yadda yadda, but if nothing else, it's all the football there is till August. Plus, it's some damned fine football in my opinion. Didn't see any Falcons on the rosters, but lots of names people around here would probably recognize...Go Ti-Cats! Oskee Wee Wee!

Until the CFL expands and brings the Rough Riders back to Ottawa, I have no interest in the CFL.

I think relying on Corner Gas and Don Cherry on HNIC to form my opinion of Canada may lead to a distorted view of our Northern neighbor...

Rider fans are considered among the best in the league, even by those who hate them...by and large CFL is more popular in the West...they lost the Grey Cup last year when having too many men on the field (13 instead of 12) gave Montreal a second chance at the game winning FG...

It took them right up to the start of the season, but the CFL finally announced their US broadcast schedule. Looks like about a dozen games on the NFL Network, and a bunch more on ESPN360...
