Haha. Yeah. To hit my ideal weight/BMI for my height I am actually supposed to lose about 80 more, but I think that would make me look anorexic. I was meant to be curvy. I just want to get healthy again; that's my ultimate goal.

It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I hate exercising, too, and with monitoring my diet, I find that I can lose weight without having to do it. BUT - I have been working out on the Wii and I love it. It doesn't feel like a LOT of work but I do notice that when I am consistently doing it I lose weight a little faster. I also like the monitoring program it offers. It was definitely worth the expense.Falcon Fanatic wrote:Good for you!!!SaxyIrishTenor wrote:Falcon Fanatic wrote:50 more????SaxyIrishTenor wrote:I hit the 25 pound mark yesterday. I need to exercise if I want to maintain or lose weight. I love food. I love to eat, I love to cook, I love to watch TV shows about food. I just flat out WORSHIP food. Is that bad?SaxyIrishTenor wrote:I hate exercising, too, and with monitoring my diet, I find that I can lose weight without having to do it. BUT - I have been working out on the Wii and I love it. I've resigned myself to the fact that I'll always be chubby, and I'm okay with that. As long as I stay somewhat active, I won't balloon back up.

You don't really have to do full blown workouts. Just a brisk 30+ minute walk every day will do wonders.Falcon Fanatic wrote:Good for you!!!SaxyIrishTenor wrote:Falcon Fanatic wrote:50 more????SaxyIrishTenor wrote:I hit the 25 pound mark yesterday. Re: Applebee's 550 Calorie Menu
Forgot to mention that we went to Applebee's on Father's Day and I had one of the 550 menu items. Don't remember specifically which one (it was a chicken entree) but it was pretty tasty. But like most healthy items in restaurants, a little more than I would like to pay.
Anyway, getting a little tougher, but down 16.5 lbs so far!! It's amazing how much difference that makes for my stamina and mobility on the basketball court.

That's an Olympic shot that you aren't carrying around anymore (well, a little more than a 16 lb Olympic shot). Congrats.

Re: Applebee's 550 Calorie Menu
I've slowed down a little bit lately and it is getting a little frustrating. It's not a long-term pattern I should be worried about, and I am not gaining any weight, but have been finding it harder to lose lately. I'm not going to hit my next target.
( If nothing else, it is making me a little more motivated.
I've started doing a little more cardio to try to get over this hump. I've been eating a little more, but not necessarily making poor food choices. Hopefully this doesn't last long.

Wow, you guys are much bigger losers than I.
I'm maintaining at + or - 23# which puts me at about the weight I was when I got married. 15 more and I would be at my track weight in college. Not even going to try for that.

Yeah, I wanted to lose weight but didn't think I'd feel better from eating HEALTHIER, just would lose weight- but I haven't touched fast food (well, not McD, wendy's, etc.-I occasionally do Magic Wok and jsut polished off a Jimmy John's) and I'm having fresh fruit, protein smoothies, fresh veggies, yada, yada and it does make a difference in how I feel.

Re: Applebee's 550 Calorie Menu
I refuse to go back to Magic Wok. I got big pieces of plastic baggies in their meals like twice in a row. I have being going to Nori Japan at the mall instead and getting Steamed rice, Mixed veggies, and BBQ chicken breast for $5.59 I think. Nice big portion and very tasty!
If I have to do fast food, I just get a grilled chicken sandwich (no fries or drink). The classic one at McDonald's is absolutely delicious...after you wipe off all the excess mayo they put on there
