2010/2011 Schedule Released...

7 home games for the final season of Anderson Arena. Awesome. First time we've ever had this many home games for the non-conference slate. The best of the bunch being Vanderbilt Dec.1 , Creighton Nov.15 and Canisius Dec.21. The only thing that irks me a little about this schedule is not having the above 3 games on Sat's to help give us the best chance for the biggest crowds, but oh well. I'm getting the jitters already. 8-[

I think that even though those games aren't on Saturdays though, we will be filling it up for those games, ESPECIALLY against Vandy. I'd love to see us beat them again but they are going to be trying to get their revenge for last season.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

Would be GREAT to see the Vandy game on a Sat, though. Looks like a solid sked as we prepare to win MAC title #7 in a row!

Agreed, especially because in the last few season, with the Syracuse NIT game the exception, its seems that most of our big out of conferences homes game (Notre Dame, both IU games, Dayton NIT game) have been played on weekdays and not weekends, and that really didn't seem to effect the size of the crowd

I have to say I was beyond excited to see the tournament we are in.

"This season, the Falcons will take part in a tournament hosted by Seattle University on Nov. 26-27."

Why you may ask? Well, it looks like I won't be able to make it home for any football games this year, nor will I be able to make it home for Thanksgiving. So imagine my delight when I saw the falcons are coming to me! I live in Bellingham, 92 miles away from Seattle.

Presuming that the falcons may be travelling during Thanksgiving itself, would it be possible for Alumni to host a dinner for them the evening before? Have other alumni groups done this before for travelling teams? I know that there are plenty of restrictions and regulations for doing such an activity, so I want to start now to understand what would be required. If the students/coaches/parents/whomever chipped in for the Thanksgiving dinner, there would be no problem of gifts, since all we are giving is our appreciation, time, and kitchens to cook such a meal, correct? Anyone in Washington interested in this as well?

That can certainly be done. I would check with Coach Miller if you are interested.
