You had to stalk them, really- I went down to the spillway at the park in Van Buren and they'd pop up to the surface a lot. Then you'd try to follow them when they swam into the shallow areas until you could get a good shot. That requires special arrows and an attachment for your line but its pretty entertaining if you like bows, Falconboy.
Is that legal?

I think arguing about what or who is divisive is...in and of itself...divisive.

And I did, to the great disappointment of the only ranger I encountered who was certain he had another mark towards reaching his ticket quota for the month. Never fished illegally in my life.

Not for most of us... :-D
It certainly is for me.
I don't hunt. I have no desire to do so. I do enjoy fishing, though.

But, at the risk of starting some massive argument, may I ask what you could POSSIBLY have against HUNTING? It really sounds like you're coming at this from a moral/ethical standpoint, and if that's your stance you better start off with saying you're a vegetarian...

If you stand in the back of the boat, is it still called bowfishing, or would that be sternfishing?

Can you imagine fishing with Howard Stern? "Let's take the bait home and throw it at a stripper's ass"

Actually..that might be fun

Actually the "bow" does not refer to a boat. this kind of fishing isusually done rioght after Christmas and if done later is sometimes called "crinkly-ribbon fishing". I can understand your confusion but it is much more difficult than using 8# test monofilament.

It better huh? OR else........

There is a vast difference from killing animals for enjoyment/sport and killing animals solely for food. If you would like to discuss further please PM me so we avoid the divisive discussion that the admins wisely want us to avoid.

So hunting for sport/enjoyment is bad, but developing a "particular set of skill" to kill people over a long career is good. Some would say killing is bad regardless of reason, but your just haggling over where that line should be drawn.
