2010-2011 Coverage

Post by BGDrew »

I posted this over on my Facebook page but wanted to put it here too. What kind of things do people want this year regarding coverage of the team? I liked doing the Liveblog last year but it had minimal readers. Would you like a blog again? Something else?

Love the videos of the coach's comments. Also would like to see more videos of the players..."Getting to know (insert player's name)" like was done by someone (you?) in the past. Just a short clip where the player talked about himself, his major, where he was from, why he chose Bowling Green, a fact about him that we didn't know, etc...

Mostly, thanks for the work you've done and will do. It's MUCH appreciated and you do a great job!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I was one of those minimal readers for the liveblog and would hate to see it go. I can't make it to very many games because of distance and really appreciate the immediacy of following on the liveblog as opposed to the radio broadcasts since I can follow the blog and still take part in family activities at the same time.
I love people who can laugh at themselves. It saves me the effort.

Any way to post pictures of the game during the game. Like at the end of each period?

I think Drew and I could work something out. The problem is availability of seats and internet in the press box, but there is more room up there this year so we might not have a problem.

If I can develop some sort of on the fly edit/post system to use between periods, we could get that to work...

I love all those ideas, especially interviews with the new players! Oh, and the pictures :)

Me owning a beachfront house on Maui would also be nice.
Sadly, one is about as likely to happen as the other.
