Tulsa fan here
Should be an interesting game Saturday. Our coach is under fire from about half of the fan base while the other half support him. He could try to use this game to gain support back and put the pedal to the metal on offense to run the score up. Unless you guys have gained a lot of speed from the last time we played you I have little doubt the only way our offense will get stopped is if we stop our ourselves. We have more talent and speed now on the offensive side of the ball then we did then. Defense for us who knows, we defiantly had first game tackling issues that most teams have. I was impressed with our interior d-line but we lacked any outside rush in the first game. It was the first game for a lot of guys on our defense so if I had to guess we will be better. If any of your are coming to the game you are more then welcome to stop by our tailgate, we literally tailgate right outside the gates of the northeast endzone, we are the loud drunk ones. The forecast looks solid in the high 80s so its going to be a great day no matter what.

We will see what happens. Your guess to your "victory" is just that, a guess. It is way to early to really tell what will happen. You just narrowly got passed ECU 51-49 so it looks like your defense is not existenent. I look forward to a good game. We have decent talent for being full of freshman this year. This will be a shot out and who ever comes out firing the most will win. Good luck and hope its a good game!

Any Tulsa players looking to set any records? Just want to know if we should expect any intentional 3 and outs in case your punter is going for NCAA net yard records or anything like that.

This sentence is redundant and applies to just about any post about any coach in any sport. Please refrain from stating the obvious. As you know, the perfect season in any sport is an undefeated slate with a National Championship after which the coach gets fired.

Thankfully, ECU won that game and it was heartbreaking for the Tulsa coach which filled me with total glee. Although in true form he was seen on camera yelling at another coach after the catch was confirmed.LowryFalcon wrote:You just narrowly got passed ECU 51-49

I see you have embodied your coach totally. I just hope you have at least an ounce of character as he has zero.TURacing52 wrote:Unless you guys have gained a lot of speed from the last time we played you I have little doubt the only way our offense will get stopped is if we stop our ourselves. Re: Tulsa fan here
I must be the only BG fan who thinks Tulsa did nothing wrong with the way they played the GMAC Bowl. If it were a regular season game I would be pissed if it happened to my team, but in a bowl game no team should have to let up because another is incapable of stopping them. Why should players who may have been playing their last game have to throw in the towel, and if I were playing for a chance to make it in the NCAA record book, why should I quit cause the other team can't stop me? Quit saying it was poor sportsmanship and realize we were not prepared for that game, and it got handed to us. I hope BG gets revenge for that loss, but I am still not mad at Tulsa for it.

I've always been of the belief you don't let off the throttle. Bury your opponents if you can. If they don't like it then they should stop you. I didn't really have a problem with what Tulsa did. I didn't think it served any purpose except to arbitrarily set meaningless personal records, but it didn't bother me the way it bothered many others.
If Brandon would have had his team prepared to play it wouldn't have been an issue.

It doesn't bother me either. It was a bowl game, and I think part of the blow out has to do with BG's defense not playing hard either when the game was out of hand. It was a frustrating loss, but it's just a game, and as Coach said today in the Blade, revenge isn't the best game plan to have.
