Ugh...our defense is BRUTAL.
And Schilz doesn't look good at all either...
This is definitely a rebuilding year.

What horrible officiating to end the half!
Handfighting that looked to be pretty equal on both sides (didn't see a good replay) gets called offensive pass interference. Then they play an untimed down on an OFFENSIVE penalty!? That can't be right!

Remember: Official time is kept ON THE FIELD not on the clock on the scoreboard, hammb wrote:What horrible officiating to end the half!

That's true in soccer, but is that the case in football? If it was why do they constantly have to correct the time on the scoreboard? "Would the clock operator please set the game clock....."

ROLL ALONG!
Re: Game Thread: at Tulsa (9/11)
Lat time we played them they had two 275 pound ends that really got after it. Looks like more of the same, We just do not have the size on defense to compete - period! We have linebackers at ends and they are not competing. I dont care how good of atheletes they are. I have watched guys get buried all half. Pushed around to say the least. Clawson did some adding of size with this class but they are too young and we need alot more size and speed. This will be a .500 team at best. Sorry to deflate the bubble - I am a die hard but this is just a weak defensive team and a marginal offensive team at this point. We are young so there is hope but - not this year!

The have someone fix the damn stat sheet BGSU......BGSU33 wrote:My bet is they actually DID check their facts, but our very own game notes says 12,000 right on page two: http://www.bgsufalcons.com/documents/20 ... df?id=1177MarkL wrote:TV stream says BG has 12,000 students. Check your facts, please ...
It said it for Troy too, I saw it last week. Obviously, this was a typo on our part and should read 21,000 and not 12,000. But my guess is that is exactly where they got it from.

And how do you think they know what time to reset the clock to?Dayons_Den wrote:That's true in soccer, but is that the case in football? If it was why do they constantly have to correct the time on the scoreboard? "Would the clock operator please set the game clock....."
But in this case, according to the Tulsa game feed, the officials were correct since it was a live-action play. I never heard of that before, but.......
It appears someone switched 1 and 2 on enrollment figures on the fact sheet. Should read 21,000.

Re: Game Thread: at Tulsa (9/11)
I know for a fact that there is a "fourth official" on the soccer sidelines with the official time and he then indicates that time at the end of each half. Does football have someone similar to that? I"m asking/commenting in pure ignorance...transfer2BGSU wrote:And how do you think they know what time to reset the clock to?Dayons_Den wrote:That's true in soccer, but is that the case in football? Obviously that penalty was a killer, but that was a fantastic individual play by Kamar Jordan.
