BG minimizes penalties on crucial plays and continues the good passing game from last week. Defense covers better overall.

BG is a few plays from 2-0. O Line cuts down on the mistakes, defense keeps it so the offense doesn't have to set records to win. BG wins 31 - 27.

Week 2 prediction: Tulsa 38 - Bowling Green 31
Actual: Tulsa 33 - Bowling Green 20
Season mark: 2-0

Week 3 pick:
Marshall is coming off a truly deflating defeat against West Virginia. It'll be interesting to see how they come out at the start of this one. BG has shown some promise in the first two games but faced difficult opponents in both. Marshall arguably has faced even tougher opposition though. It's a toss-up game on paper, but I give BGSU the benefit of the doubt at home, in a slightly more defensive contest than the first two games, the Falcons get their first win of the season on Saturday night.

Marshall 17
Bowling Green 24

I see it being close for the first part of the game but then I see BG scoring a few in the second half and sitting on the ball to win this one.

I would love to see BG win, but I'm taking the rake-toothed inbreds from the "It's Called a Manufactured Home" state by 7 in a shoot-out.

The performance, on the other hand, improves greatly.
