Dominic Flewellyn...

Post by Falconfreak90 »

#52, stepped into the fire last night since Ben and Scott are out with injuries and played a heck of a game. It was great to see him deliver. I talked with Scott after the game and he said he's hoping to be back for Buffalo...but Ohio for sure. Said it is killing him not being able to play right now...but once he's back, he's gonna knock the snot outta people.

One last thing about last night...NO SWEET CAROLINE at the end of the 3rd quarter!!!! YEAH!!!! Keep it that way. Freakling2 was asking why don't they play Metallica instead?

"Flewellyn" is a tough one to spell, but is it tough enough to truly be an elite lineman for BG? ;) I think he needs to slip in some extra consonants.

He has done a pretty nice job, especially considering being a true frosh thrown into the fire out there. There's no doubt about it. But he totally whiffed on the play that Schilz was injured. I watched a replay of the game and they had a slow-motion replay and Marshall's DL slipped right past Flewellyn on the play. Flewellyn went right past his right shoulder and he slipped right on past him on the inside. Torresso was already blocking another DL and tried to chip him (and Geter was in pass protection in the backfield but was on the right side and couldn't see the pressure coming) and when he got past Flewellyn he had a clear path to Schilz. He not only hit him, but just drilled him and his throwing shoulder/arm right into the ground. Schilz was clearly in pain and when he got up was favoring his arm right away.
GO BG!!!

Thanks!

And for the record, it was not the FMB's decision to get rid of OR add "Sweet Caroline". (at least that's how it was explained to us)

Yeah we actually stole that from Wisconsin. They actually get every fan in their stadium to jump to it though and I've read that the upper deck actually sways from it. I think this could potentially be a really cool home field advantage/tradition if we can get everybody up jumping around to it.
