Somebody find this kid and fire him

Post by MarkL »

Kid says he works for the athletic department, is on the field every gameday, and he's apparently a hardcore Wolverine fan and, well, read what all he has to say. I don't know if this kid is a BG student or not, but he's a BG athletic department employee. Learn some loyalty! If you really care at UMich that much, I'm sure the athletic department wouldn't mind a little "budget cut" here and then you can go try to get a job up in Ann Arbor.

He may be on the field every day, but he couldn't be more wrong about Shilz's arm strength. Kid looks like he's got a helluva arm to me. We don't air it out often, but it's not because of his arm strength, that's for sure.

He's also the exact type of fan I cannot stand. Rooting against your alma mater...*blech*

Kid is clearly a flaming D-bag... Does he forget Schilz launching the ball 60 plus before the end of the half at Tulsa. It just reminds me of all the OSU fans/bg students that will leave a game to watch the buckeyes play Coastal Carolina. Robinson is a quick elusive player...but teams will be catching on quicker every week and will not continually put up those numbers. Anyway... we have a chance UMASS beat themselves in that game. Their QB said after being asked if he was nervous for the game, he said " we are playing Michigan, not the Patriots" He summed it up well. We are better than 08 Toledo for god sake.

Be loyal to your alma mater? Ok I agree with that. But now I have a scenario. BG's field goal, place kicker played 3 years at U of M and received his degree from U of M and is now a graduate student here at BG. So getting back to being LOYAL to your alma mater. Michigan is winning 30 to 28 with 5 seconds left. BG ball at the 10 yard line and lines up for a winning 27 yd field goal. What do you do? Win the game or be LOYAL to your alma mater?

If he's on the sidelines, he should know that BooBoo is a nickel back and anybody that thought Schilz was out with a concussion may have had a concussion themselves.

Overall, I can't say that I disagree with a lot of it, but there is no way that I would ever write that on an opponent's site if I was an employee (official or unofficial). To me, this is the same as a manager at a mom and pop store writing a review on a website that the store is nice, but Walmart is better. You don't need to say that we're going to win, but don't say that this isn't '08 Toledo. We'll find out Saturday. Get rid of the employee and bring on a student intern that has a passion for BGSU athletics.

The boy's name, by my research, is *snip*.

In the "real world," this lad would be dismissed for this type of conduct.

I thought better of posting his name. NWLB, please snip the name, if you please. I shall email the athletic department so they may pursue if they are so inclined.

The lad has a right to say what he said, but we and the AD have a right to exercise our own rights of action.

Look I have no problem if a BG employee is a fan of another school, especially if its their alma mater and they are working at BG to pay the bills. However I also know its not good to bite the hand that feeds you. If I am the athletic department I would be looking for someone who would enhance the program, not diminish it on other's websites.

On the fact he questioned Schilz arm strength and injury shows that his working for BG may just be blowing smoke up everybody's azz.

I can't wait to see Michigan's season come crashing down. It's going happen, just hope it starts this week. They started last season off about the same way than sh*t the bed all October and November. They are Michigan of 2008-09 with improved QB play. Robinson's numbers are going to come back down to Earth once Big Ten play begins. They have played 3 bad defenses so far. That said I don't expect us to win because we have our own issues on defense but wouldn't be shocked if we did either given UM's recent history.

And yes bgwolverine13 can stay in Ann Arbor afterward. Not only does he want Michigan to win but he wants them to win big. What a ####

This kid is not worth the time it would take to denigrate him.....

Sorry, your logic is failing - which is no surprise.

Logically, he would kick the field goal because he that is the team he is playing for. This kid is a WalMart Wolverine and nothing more. He wants his fellow students to fail. THAT is unacceptable and should not be tolerated by ANY student or alumnus of BGSU.

Just for clarification, the student who made the OP on the UM board did not attend UMich, so it is not his alma mater. He grew up in Ann Arbor, and that is why he roots for them.

And I agree. He's a douche. I know the FMB ran into this problem in '06 at OSU: we had a few members who were from Columbus who decided it would be cool to cheer when the Buckeyes scored, and to participate in the OSU cheers while in uniform. It wasn't cool, and they were corrected. If this kid is really an employee of Athletics, he should be reprimanded, since posting in the way he did is HIGHLY unprofessional...

I stopped reading at "Geter doesn't have speed". This kid must be on meth. Geter in the open field is pretty damn fast and has more stones than any player on UM. Geter will run your azz over rather than run around you. And as far as this kid working in OUR AD, he needs to shut his cakehole.

Let's get this thing going...BG has a great chance to knock off UM.
