Bye week

Post by MarkL »

We don't have one.

I just looked at our schedule more in-depth. This is a young team that could really use a week off, and they just do not have a week off anywhere. We have 11 days off between Central Michigan and Miami, and 9 days off between Toledo and Western Michigan. So thanks to our conference bending over backwards in order to get ESPNU coverage on Wednesday evening games in October and November, our team will not have the ability to take a week off, heal, and regather, and will instead have a screwy schedule the second half of the season.

The price you pay to get on national TV. The Miami game on Wednesday night is an ESPN2 game.

Hate to break it to you, but the 11 days in a bye week. A lot of teams in BCS conferences do the same thing with Thursday night games. It sucks, but it is what it is.
