So 110% of your graduating class went to OSU, OU, or Miami. That is an astounding percentage!
Spent parts of four days there this summer during a trip to Japan. Watched one of the Japan World Cup games at a bar in Roppongi at 3 am (probably the aforementioned "act like a 18 year old" section, but still awesome). Got on the Jumbotron at a Yakult Swallows game (repping a BG t-shirt) while we were there, too. The people there were awesome.

One table was full of BG fans (about seven or eight) and one guy wearing UM gear. Asked the BG people why they were letting him sit there and got the succinct answer "He's buying!" The guy looked totally miserable. In every cloud, a silver lining.
I love Saugatuck...it's one of my favorite places to go in the summer...and it's suprisingly fun to go in the winter as well. I think the "artist community" vibe has moved accross the road to Douglas because Saugatuck got too touristy...but it's a fun time all the same.
Given our discussion on the NCAABBS....that's all I'm saying about Saugatuck...
Yeah, Douglas is more of the artsy side now I think. Saugatuck is still pretty cool, just walking around-went to sixty shops in two days and didn't buy a thing- Ate well though. Driving back to Ann Arbor I was able to find every MAC game that started at noon on Sirius EXCEPT UT. Ended up listening to the Falcon game for score updates. I thought they would reel UM in there for a moment but that running attack for the Wolvies is pretty tough and pretty deep.
I had no problems with any fans either. There was the typical: A guy behind me wanting a clipping penalty at the complete other end of the field, etc.
I sat right in front of our cheerleaders in Row 11 and heard at least three Michigan fans say that the ladies were the best looking they had seen in a loooooooooong time from an opponent.
A few of them made snide comments about our student band director, but mainly because she had an intercom and never muted the thing even while making lame observations like "considering how outnumbered we are" and "hey, we're still in this". I think we were down by like 30 at the time. But it was all good-natured,, similar to what any home fan would do in the situation.

There was a girl in the BG section wearing a yellow shirt with blue letters that said- "BG girls are ugly." Which I guess would be ok, if she was really hot or if Michigan girls were really hot, or if BG girls were actually ugly, none of which are the case.

I heard the comments about her each time she walked through, but never got a great look to laugh at her myself.

Ah, forgive my poor math, It was 8am after a night of no sleep, a long drive back from East Lansing, and I am hopped up on painkillers. It's also been 7 years since my last math class. That's gotta count for something, seeing as I'm still in school! =)
As far as keeping the Tokyo theme going, I should be heading back there soon after this school year is up. If any of you guys ever are over there when I am, please, don't hesitate to contact me. I'm fully fluent in Japanese and know the Tokyo area well. Not to mention, The first round is on me. (If beers werent 9$ each, I'd say more...)

I went there knowing about four words and bumped it up to about a dozen, including provincial slang for "shut up".
The $9 beers were a bit of a shock to us, but it didn't stop us from finding a bar every night. Then when we stumbled into this cafe/diner looking place near Jingu Stadium that advertised $3 beers, we stayed around for several. We also did pretty well for ourselves with an all-day subway pass and a well-worn map.

Yea, at 笑笑 (Wara-Wara) they have 270yen everything. It's quite nice, especially on my tight budget as a college student. Though I had many nights where the final receipt for the evening worth of drinking easily crossed into the 200 dollar range. And don't get me started on how much money I spent at the clubs...
Women /sigh.

I "fondly" remember the prices for my beloved Asahi, but when on vacation, the budget is thrown out of the window. Wanting a little taste of home, I do recall the $34 Pizza Hut meat lovers pizza.

Some people are picky about spelling and grammar; I am a mathematics graduate student so I am picky about math. Kinda douchey, I know. But, it's a pet peeve.

Yea, Pizza hut is pretty ridiculous in price. It also baffles me that Asahi costs less at South Side 6 than at 7-11 in Tokyo.

We did Shakey's in Harajuku for our taste of home. Damn delicious pie, and IIRC, the pitcher of (insert local beer) was pretty reasonable.

Speaking of home, I was surprised to see Lawson stores in Tokyo. I know I'm dating myself, but who else remembers those stores and that goofy commercial; "Get the juice down to Lawson before the hour". OK, I'm an idiot!
