Buffalo Tailgate plans?

Post by hammb »

So what are everybody's plan for tailgating Saturday?

I personally thought the location we had last time worked out pretty well. Rick & Marta are you guys going to shoot for the same locale again this week? Are you guys taking the RV up the night before?

I definitely want to bring my truck out again, that worked well to block off some spaces, but I think I may just wait until later in the night to go out there. I don't know if there are any HS games or whatever, but if I just bring it out around 11 right from the get go I shouldn't have to worry about that.

As for the gameday, I plan to take the deep fryer out and make some chicken wings. I'm not sure what else to go with wings, but wings sounds good. I'll probably have other things to fry as well. Maybe some onion rings or something...who knows. We don't get enough grease in our lives :)

Looking forward to seeing everybody again!

Brian, I'm afraid you won't be able to park in that lot again. I believe I read that the parking attendants would be out at 8:00 a.m. and I think that lot is media only...other than the overnight RV's.

Well I was planning on parking there Friday night. Is it possible that they're going to create a situation where we are NOT allowed to tailgate next to our friends who have RVs?

Wow...that would be pretty *#%&#ed up...

edited because apparently the language filter is getting more liberal ;)

Haha Todd...I MAY take you up on that offer. I think I have your phone number...

For now I'm still planning on parking in the lot the night before.

Night before should be fine, but after 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, no go. Yeah, it sux, but it is only for 4 more games. Besides, you can tailgate with your friends...just not park by them apparently ;)

We're planning on being there Friday night again. A friend of mine is also bringing their camper later on Friday night so we'll have a good portion of that side of the lot.

There is NO HIGH SCHOOL GAME on Friday night! I already checked earlier in the week! So...the plan is to take the camper out there after Rick gets home from work. It will be nice to be out there earlier than 11:30 pm!!!

I parked in the adjacent lot, it was only a 15 second walk over to Lot 20 last week. However, being 100th anniversary homecoming, I figure it'll be much much more crowded.

And yea, last week, they wouldn't let me in, they said it was Media only.

Well I'm going to plan to bring my truck out tonight and park there somewhere near your RV Marta. It'll probably be after 11 by the time I get out there, but I'll be there tonight.

If we can't get in that lot to park tomorrow morning it will suck, but at least I'll have my truck with my tailgating stuff set up out there. Sure it wouldn't be a long walk to set up in one of the adjacent lots, but when I'm setting up the deep fryer and whatnot, I'd like to actually be with our friends.

Can't wait to see everyone! Hope for a big crowd for homecoming, but weather sounds as if it could be a bit dicey :(

Looks like Josh and me for tomorrow...we should be leaving by 7:30-8AM and getting there by 10:00, at the latest. This location worked pretty well...nice change of pace. If we can't park in the same place, we'll shoot for the lot across the drive (I think it's 6-1). We can haul our grill, cooler and chairs 20 feet. Weather is iffy right now with AM showers, 55 for a high. AM showers could keep some of the less heartier souls from arriving until closer to game time. Worst case scenerio-park in the season ticket lot south of the End Zone and walk over but I don't think we'll have any problems getting in 6-1 or 6-2.

We'll have brats, Pringles, grapes, Red Stripe Beer and Falcon Cheesecake.

Can't wait to get there tomorrow!!! GO FALCONS!!!!!!

I had our friends tell them at the entrance to lot 20, that they were with us and pointed to our camper. They let them in. There were a LOT of open parking spots in that lot that day.
