After all, who knows what Hurley's or the QB situation will be in 3-4 years. Injuries, academics, and even a possible recruit better than Hurley, could effect all of this.
Shouldn't attendance be a major incentive clause in coaches contracts?
Sheeeeesh........we were drawing 10,000 in the old stadium with an enrollment 7-8,000 students back in the early 60's!!!! Maybe its the AD!!
Would someone please figure his win-loss record for ALL SPORTS since he's been here?
I've been surprised at the fall off in the minor sports at BG in the last few years. Baseball does OK but hockey, soccer, X-country and most others are really in the dumper. toledo has goen the other direction with some questionable major sport coach hirings (Cross=disaster, jury out on beckman, Cullop=great hire) but huge improvement and great coaching in non-revs (Hadsell, Jorgenson, the new VB guy). BG used to be a MAC power in some of those sports, especially track and x-country where they were a national power on the men's side and hockey, which is not a MAC sport but still....And yes, I am calling hockey a minor sport mainly to goad FF.
Yeah I definitly agree that Pankratz is definitly should not be our #2 QB but what scares me most is that if hes number 2 then how good has Pagel even been playing? Either way, I cant wait till schilz gets back!!!! I think with him at the helm we will win more games. I doubt this is going to be our year to win the MAC but none the less I would just like to see the Falcons do well for the remainder of the season. All though our defense gave up alot of yards against Buffalo you really cant put the blame totally on them. They were out on the field so long that even Buffalo's offense had to be tired. We have alot of talent and like stated before(not sure who sorry) our defense just needs to stop making those basic mistakes. Its time to learn how to tackle again!!! Thats been killing us all season. Our offense could be killer if we actually could get the ball into the hands of our recievers! Jordan, Pronty, and even Cooper our great when they get the ball and can make huge plays but obviously nothing can be done if they dont have the chance.
I think that once we get Schilz back (Hope to GOD it is next week) everything will start panning together. The leadership will be back and Kamar can go back to working on his record setting year.
Pankratz's demeanor rubbed off on the team Saturday in a horrible way. He looked lost, confused, very unsure of himself and lacked any confidence in his abilities. Makes you wonder what Brandon and Co. saw in him when he was recruited. He'll be #2 until the end of the season when Hurley is no longer redshirted, then I imagine we won't see much of him anymore barring some major injuries.
I hate singling out one player, especially in college but there's no doubt his play affected the whole team against Buffalo.
