Matsumoto traded

Post by rood »

Jonathon Matsumoto got traded on draft day to the Carolina Hurricanes. Hopefully he'll get a chance to crack the line-up there this year.
I love people who can laugh at themselves. It saves me the effort.

That's a pretty curious trade since Moto was the points leader for the Phantoms.

He's been a great player for the Phantoms, not sure why he was never called up. I have a feeling that'll change with this move. Carolina is going through some rebuilding and a player like Matsumoto will help.

As a lifelong Hartford Whalers/Carolina Hurricanes fan, I am DELIGHTED to get Mats. Hopefully in the near future, I'll be able to buy a Carolina Hurricanes Matsumoto jersey!

Not trying to nitpik, but one of the reasons Jonathan may have not been called up by the Flyers was that while he was the leading scorer on the team this year, he was also a -19. Gotta play both ways.

Matsy is listed as the 2nd scratched center on the 'Canes website. Ironically enough Zac Dalpe is ahead of him.

Brind'Amour retired today. He's moving up already! :-D

When he makes it up from Albany I am buying a Canes jersey. Finally more reasons for me to go to the RBC Center!

Jonathan had an assist tonight for Charlotte as they opened their AHL season (or at least the home opener).
