This team has several wins yet this season I believe. Between Kent, CMU, Toledo, WMU, and Miami, I believe there's some wins left and the ability to finish the season hot.

hats off to the falcons. Gutsy performance. Unfortunate that it didn't work out.

The Temple broadcasters had a lot of nice things to say about Jorden. He's filling the shoes of the roles that Barnes, Sharon, Redd had on previous teams very nicely.

All in all I'm proud of the effort. We all knew Temple would be a challenge.

Love going for two, hate that play call. The WR wasn't even across the goal line.

Very vanilla. Comeback routes to Jorden, runs up the middle dominated the offense. I would say Jorden is definitely very very good, beyond that I am not sure I can say anything about anyone. Not sure if Schilz locking on to Jorden is a scheme or an inexperience thing. Do like Schilz quite a bit though. And dwayne Woods.

Yike, gotta disagree. Yes, the MAC sucks. But, at this point we are the suckiest. I don't look at the schedule and see any wins out there. I would jump for joy if they can get 2 wins somewhere, 2-10 looks more likely.

I didn't get to see today's game but followed it a bit on gamecast...didn't think to look for a video feed...ooops.

From what I've seen of this team there are some promising players, but we're far too young & inexperienced to be a decent team. Gregg Brandon raped this program then slit its throat and left it to bleed out. Clawson is trying to save it...

You just can't compete with the type of recruiting classes Brandon in his last few years. Throw in the NCAA punishments for poor academic performance a few years ago and this is what ya get. I like Clawson and with the state that Brandon left this program in I'll gladly give him 3-4 years to see what he can do. I really think Schilz is gonna be a BIG time player in a few years.

I agree on Schilz. He shows quite a bit but something seems to be holding him back. Not sure if it is the offense or the injury or just a lack of confidence from a 1st year QB.

I also think if we play like we did today and against Troy and Marshall, we can win games down the stretch. Kent, CMU, Miami, tsun and WMU? Every game is winnable and at least we have 3 of the last 5 at home. 5 of our first 7 games on the road have been challenging.

The team played hard today...the D played well save for two long TD passes. If we don't miss the FG and muff the punt that resulted in a Temple td, hell we win today. I don't like to call out players but Wright needs to be held accountable for today's performance. He is a 4th or 5th year player but didn't get it done today. I'd let him punt and kick off but find another kicker for the place kicking.

Very frustrating...

Absolutely agree Hammb. I think there's promise down the line in years ahead with these younger players and future recruiting classes to build up the ranks to an actual filled out maximum roster. Yeah, Clawson needs a few years to revive this program after all the crap GB left him with.

THIS.

Clawson deserves time. The regression of performance prior to yesterday had me a bit shaken as well, but I'm nowhere near ready to pull the plug. Clawson is the right man right now for this job and needs the time.

While I agree Clawson deserves more time, I don't agree that Brandon left him with nothing. We are not that short handed that we shouldn't be able to win MAC games. Temple is the supposed best in the East, and they were terrible. Urban's 2003 team beats them by 28. I understand sometimes it takes time when a new staff comes in, but I'm not sure where I see a foundation being laid for the future. All that being said, I did think the team played hard yesterday. Also looking at the schedule and seeing some of the opponents on TV the last couple weeks, there are possible wins upcoming. We'll see if the team can improve and mix in some wins.

Coach Clawson took a team that dressed only 55 scholarship players each week to a bowl game...He's not the problem. I think he'll do really well given time

We give up big plays because we're inexperienced...guys bite on fakes, forget their assignment or make some other mistake and 80 yards later you're lining up for the other guy's PAT. We had the same problem in 2006...that last time we sucked. Brandon had too much attrition in 2005 and 2007's recruiting classes to build the depth needed to rise above mediocrity in the years that followed 2006. I think CLawson is smart enough to avoid the boderline or sketchy kids that kill depth when they blow out or wind up in jail after a year, but we'll see about that.

The biggest challenge with a team like our is to keep them battling week in and out. Losing becomes a problem when it becomes anticipated or accepted. It's hard to improve when you think you're part of a lost cause. We had 60 minutes of good effort against a better team after we'd been blown out twice and suffered a loss at home on a missed FG...that's a plus.

If they continue to play hard...we can win a few yet this year. This conference is a terrible football conference. And by terrible I mean really...really bad. :-)
