Saturday, BG @ Clarkson

After one: BG 1 - Clarkson 0

Outshot 14 - 9

Goal by Rodriquez, assists by JST and Freismuth

Hammond standing tall!!

GO ICERS!!!
BEAT THE KNIGHTS!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Nope, always leave after the game, no matter what time it ends! Guys can sleep on the bus...but I'll bet they are up for quite awhile tonight!!!

They'll probably be rolling back into town around 8 or 9 this morning. It's around a 11-12 hour bus ride to Potsdam.

Looks like Hammy had a great game in net and we stepped up big time on the defense and PK. We only had 2 PPs so had to make our even strength chances count.

This kind of game will help to get some momentum rolling into next weekend where we face another out-of-conference opponent.

Hammy DID stand tall tonight! I got a little nervous when it looked like we were playing prevent-hockey with that 2-0 lead...but they hung on and WON!!!

Alabama got hammered 7-0 tonight by Wisconsin. Will be interesting to see how they do in tomorrow's game...before coming to BG next weekend!!!

GO FALCON ICERS!!!
SWEEEEEEEEP THE CHARGERS!!!!!

I'd like to see Hammond in net Friday night and Eno on Saturday. Seems the team plays better on Saturday than they do on Friday. I think it's necessary to alternate the nights the goalies play to see if one does actually stand out more than the other. Otherwise, it may come down to Hammond being the #1 goalie just because he plays on Saturdays.
