 I don't think I have ever heard of a PAT not being kicked because of wind. Heck, it's only a 20-yarder.
Not exactly what I was referring to. A flip of the coin determins if the wind is at your back or the wind is in your face. I heard several references throughout the game on the affects of the wind on play. It may have had a determination on whether to take a chance on a 2 point conversion or taking the game in to overtime.
Careful, I'm a Lions fan

Not to mention that each team gets a possession in college overtime and whomever gets to decide which way to go is likely to make the choice on crowd configuration rather than the wind anyway.

The winner of the toss shall choose one of the
following options
:
1. Offense or defense, with the offense at the opponent’s 25-yard line to
start the first series.
2. Which end of the field shall be used for both series of that overtime
period.
Note: The winner of the toss may not defer his choice.

Either run a wildcat or play action to the rolled out TE. If the play-action roll out to the TE is thrown correctly by the QB it rarely fails to convert in college.
Actually it NEVER fails if its thrown correctly. ;-)
Yeah, receivers NEVER drop balls and defenders NEVER break up passes

If it was broken up or dropped it wasn't thrown correctly. A correctly thrown pass is catchable for the worst athlete ever, and its thrown so that defenders can't break it up.

WRONG you are on this one my friend full of facts :D

If the play had been successful, they would have been calling him a GENIUS and calls would be made for Greg Christopher to extend his contract another five years for being so brave and courageous for making such a bold and gutsy call.

See you tonight at the coaches show!

Temple fan who feared Clawson would go for the Win.

A few years ago we faced the same issue vs Virginia Tech. We tied up the Hokies last play of regualtion. We were terrible and had nothing to lose by going for the win. Instead, we kicked the PAT.... 5' wide of the upright.

I think the name of the game is winning. I want my HC to go for the win. I'm sure MAC teams respected the effort. BGSU probably would have eliminated Temple from MAC East consideration.

C'mon waterboy, your saying a perfectly thrown ball has never been dropped in the history of football? I KNOW you are smarter than this!

If the "this" RWT is referring to is a walnut...I agree!! :)

I didn't even have to KNOW what "this" is- I'm sure I'm not smarter than it. Walnuts are waaaaayyy up there. Paramecium I can pretty much hang with although its freaky when they have, like, two heads.

Gotta love Marty Morhinweg!!

The Lions are actually going in the right direction. The games are competitive, they're 2nd in the NFC in scoring. Still 1-5, but tangible improvement.

By the way, FOX mentioned during the Lions-NYG game that Suisham and Shayne Graham kicked for the Giants last Saturday to replace the injured Lawrence Tynes. Unfortunately, they kept Graham who kicked on Sunday vs the Lions.

How about last year in the bowl game when Idaho did it to us?! I know I wasn't alone on here when we called a timeout before they went for it and we set up to face it as I knew for damn sure they were going to convert it on us and rip our hearts out. I would have bet the house they were going to make it. I knew without a doubt they would and couldn't believe I was going to watch just to see. And they did. In :32 we went from watching Tyler hooking up with Freddie for a 51-yard TD over the top in what appeared to be the game-winning TD to seal a bowl win and cap off a solid season, to watching the Vandals go 66 yards in three plays and score a TD with :04 left and then go for two and the win and did so. Talk about going from highs and lows in 30 seconds....
GO BG!!!
