You may not like my nickname that's fine, but if you think clawson is not gonna jump to a better job if offered your a FOOL..
Re: Tim Beckman v Dave Clawson
I don't believe that I said that he wouldn't but not everyone is purely motivated by the all mighty dollar. I'm also not so foolish that I would ever profess that I know for a fact what someone else would do in any given situation.sportydude1818 wrote:You may not like my nickname that's fine, but if you think clawson is not gonna jump to a better job if offered your a FOOL..
I also know the difference between "your" and "you're" and they're correct usage in the English language. It helps me to appear to be less of a fool in my writings.

Ah the grammer police on the football message board. Rule #1 when you have nothing left to say start looking for spelling and grammer mistakes from the poster you are debating and than point those mistakes out to the rest of the board. By pointing out a gramatical error on the message board you instantly feel better about yourself and therfore win the argument.
Anyway, sorry about my gramatical error but I have a degree from BG
Not Harvard! So get off my back!

People around here can be for a lack of a better word, rude. He stated his opinion and than he gets jumped on for his username? Because users names are pretty telling of who and how intelligent you are I guess. Not everyone has to be in complete love with Coach Clawson.

Deep breath, anyone?

I'm fine I have just seen so many posters run out of here over the years for no good reason IMO.TG1996 wrote:Deep breath, anyone?

Re: Tim Beckman v Dave Clawson
I know, maybe Clawson will take the Penn State job when Joe Pa is done? Oh wait...that's right the coaching genius Al Golden has already accepted that position.sportydude1818 wrote:Well the love fest for Clawson is undeniable however don't fall to deep in love because the second he gets a better offer he is gonna bolt for a bcs job. Clawson is a climber and one or 2 more bowl games and he's gone no if ands or buts about it.

I LIKE your nickname sportydude. Of course that probably condemns you forever on this board. I do think its to bad that too people here disagree about Clawson and have two bring grammar into.
Re: Tim Beckman v Dave Clawson
I apologize...most of it was in jest. I guess I should have put a winky or two in.kdog27 wrote:I figured you were talking to everyoneTG1996 wrote:I was aiming a little higher above your post, sorry.kdog27 wrote:I'm fine I have just seen so many posters run out of here over the years for no good reason IMO.TG1996 wrote:Deep breath, anyone?
Note, though, that I did say most of it was in jest. I have found a few of his comments on this board to be a bit, shall we say, brash. Not just in this thread.
Also, I do believe that I'm entitled to disagree with his assessment. He's basically saying that Clawson is gone the first chance that he gets. It may be or may not be true but you cannot say that difinitively unless Clawson has personally said that to you. People disagree on here all of the time. I don't generally give my opinion either way but my mood was such that at the time I felt inclined to disagree to a point.
Sorry about the diss on the name, that was unnecessary and uncalled for. Maybe it has a personal meaning or something so I apologize.
Concerning the grammer issue, my degree is also from BG and I try my best to come across as having a university education. Where that education comes from shouldn't matter. I find the increasing lack of caring about that among some posters disturbing. It also makes what is being written harder to follow at times. In my view, if you want to come across as being intelligent you should write intelligently. I will, however, never bring it up again. I'll leave that up to the other policemen on this board....
