Time to end Miami's 5-game win streak in BG!
Time to end Miami's 5-game win streak in BG!
Miami has won 9 of the last 11 meetings against BG, including the last 5 trips to Perry Stadium. We have got to start getting some sort of home field advantage going for us again. Since 2005, BG is only 13-15 at home. That's just not cutting it, at all. Since 2005, BG has gone 2-3, 2-2, 4-1, 1-4, 3-3 and is 1-2 this year. But it's time to end Miami's win streak at the Doyt. We've see Clay Belton make his first start and beat us here two years ago after we were picked off inside Miami's 5 trying to take the lead, we missed a FG in the mud and lost 9-7 the time before that, and a few years before that Miami beat us with Big Ben at QB for the MAC Championship. Let's not hear how the "Miami Whammy" cost us a 6th home loss to these guys. BEAT MIAMI!!!
GO BG!!!

Exactly!
I still throw up in my mouth a little every single time I think of how insanely white and clean Big Ben's uni was that wet and muddy MAC championship game at the Doyt.
No one likes a P.C. sellout! Beat the Red (skins) Hawks!!!!

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

One thing to remember about the 2 games agains Miami in 2003...both came after very emotional wins vs NIU and tsun. Throw in the fact the MAC title game was only 5 days after the tsun game. I'm not making excuses cuz Miami was the better team that year but man, Ben's uni was as white as snow in the title game. I think we were emotionally spent after holding off the rockettes.Dimes wrote:Exactly!

Miami is a suprise team this year, but I don't think they're a top level team. This game is winable, but I still don't know what to expect. Good coaches are tough to beat with extra prep time, so we'll see if Clawson will have them ready. If I. Had to pick, I would take Miami by 10, in a close game.
On another note, the crowd will be interesting to see tonight. I'm not expecting much, but by game time they will just be handing out free tickets. I feel kinda dumb for buying season tickets. Next year I may just buy them game by game to wait for all the deals.

And I'm dumb enough to respond so here it goes:Drago wrote:Miami is a suprise team this year, but I don't think they're a top level team. This game is winable, but I still don't know what to expect. I will continue to buy my season tickets because it means I don't have to worry about sellouts, I am given priority for away tickets and bowl game tickets and along with my Falcon Club membership (modest as it is) I feel good about supporting BGSU, the university I love.
Loyal donors can provide the means to improve the finances and ability to grow the program. We must be loyal and encourage loyalty from others. Discounts are for those we are recruiting those to be loyal. Don't be jealous of the recruits, embrace and encourage them.
Hope I didn't again waste my time......
I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.

Make it 6 in a row......maybe we can invite Ohio (who has beaten Miami 5 times in a row) up to Perry Stadium in two years and they can beat them for us just to see the RedHawks actually lose in BG.....
GO BG!!!
