Here's a good question. Can somebody explain to me why we continue to split time at the goalkeeper position? It seems based on the scores of the games that Eno is the far superior goalie. Now I'm not present at these games, so maybe there's other intangibles at work, like maybe the defense isn't doing as well for Andrew, but it's weird seeing us win and playing great defense with Eno in net on the first days of doubleheaders only to see him not on the ice the 2nd night. It can't be good for our team chemistry.

With these bad Saturday efforts it's really starting to look like our conditioning just isn't up to snuff.

Andrew shouldn't be expected to make 40 saves in each of his games.

The strength and conditioning has been sub-par since Coach Ward left the position.

For the goaltending I'd like to see the Saturday goaltender start the next Friday. Only way to figure out how much of a factor the goaltender is.

I personally think it is more of a talent issue than strength and conditioning. If you also factor in that the team traveled to AK and NMU in a three week span, it may just be a case of jet/bus lag. Getting the split is still pretty good the last two weekends. As for the goalie situation, I agree with what Bergeron is doing at this point. Developing Hammond is important and his play has been better than his stats would indicate. At some point in the second half it may be time to ride the hot goalie, but this is the right decision for now. Tough weekend ahead. AK didn't do us any favors by knocking off the Redhawks tonight.

The team has played better as a whole on Fridays than Saturdays. We've given up double the amount of shots on Saturdays the past few weeks compared to Fridays. A goalie can not be expected to post a shut out every night he plays no matter how good they are.

This 2 goalie rotation worked well when coach B was in Miami for awhile because they had 2 All American caliber goalies (their names escape me at the momemnt). It was easy to plug in one or the other and have no worries.

We obviously are making positive strides as a program, so in coach B and his methods I trust!!

The two goalie system isn't a problem. I'd like to see them rotate the night of the week they play to see if they really are playing better because Eno is in net. If they are, THAT is a problem. It shouldn't matter all that much who's net.

Hey guys, trying to be very positive here.... We split this series. Playing .500 hockey is a HUGE step in the right direction for this program. I'm not satisfied with that, but playing competitive hockey is getting us where we want to be.

So how do we go from one of the least penalized teams to the second most penalized team in only 4 games?

Playing agresive hockey, and making basic mistakes while doing so...that will get fixed
and your right .500 hockey is a huge step, it would be nice to get a couple sweeps in at the same time, but 500 is huge for us right now.
