Not sure what to think about this. I like Victor's bat a whole lot, but he's a terrible defensive catcher. I fully expect him to be the DH in a year or two, which would make me strongly think about NOT signing Adam Dunn. And if I'm signing a guy to be the DH I'd rather have Dunn, myself.
That said, he definitely is the 2nd best bat in that lineup and will help the team immediately. I REALLY want them to add Carl Crawford as well.

No doubt, Carl Crawford is the ultimate prize for the Tigs. I doubt Dunn will be signed because he is flat-out refusing to just be a DH and he is probably the worst outfielder in baseball.

Yeah, I thought they could pay him out of that demand, and I'd LOVE that, but no way I would sign him with the notion of even letting him own a glove. His defense is so bad it actually nullifies his top notch bat.Redwingtom wrote:No doubt, Carl Crawford is the ultimate prize for the Tigs. Crawford would just be absolutely fantastic. I'd like to resign Maggs to a short and cheaper contract as well.

Yeah, I still think Mags has some worth in his bat...and he is not the worst outfielder in the league...although closehammb wrote:Yeah, I thought they could pay him out of that demand, and I'd LOVE that, but no way I would sign him with the notion of even letting him own a glove. Wish he was still in a Tribe uniform. Honestly I hope he comes back to haunt the Indians, but they were so bad this year and look to be about as bad next year. I don't think it'll really matter for during the 4 yr contract.
I have lots of friends who are Tigers fans. I'm happy for them I guess.

Nice pickup for the Tigers. I would like to see Jayson Werth in the outfield rather than Dunn even though I like Dunn.
Is it just me or are the Indians reverting back to their old ways of the 70's and 80's?
