I am not trying to say that Clawson should be out. In fact I think the opposite. I think he should be given one more year. What I am interested in is who is going to replace these guys? Usually a couple people here (Joe Falcon comes to mind) have their finger on the pulse of these situations.
Ball State Stan Parrish
Colorado Dan Hawkins
Indiana Bill Lynch
Kent State Doug Martin
Miami Randy Shannon
Minnesota Tim Brewster
North Texas Todd Dodge
Vanderbilt Robbie Caldwell

Dan McCarney is rumored to already have the UNT job. Mike Leach is rumored to be in contention for both Minnesota an Miami. Brady Hoke is probably a candidate at some of those. Gruden's name will probably come up for Miami. And there's always the speculation that you'll be adding Rodriguez at Michigan to coaches who have been canned. As for the MAC openings, I expect each will look for up-and-coming head coaches. Sometimes a MAC team finds a heck of a head coach. But, for every Urban Meyer you find, you also find a Rob Ianello.

I've heard Brady Hoke has already met with Minnesota officials at least once so he's definitely a candidate, but I also know that he is really loving San Diego per my father who is friends with his father. Still, he's already made quite a turnaround out there and it'd be hard to turn down a Big Ten gig.

Unfortunately he's being named as a candidate for both the Indiana and Minnesota jobs. I don't think he gets a serious look though, just way to early is his tenure at Toledo.Redwingtom wrote:Beckman? Anywhere?
If there's one good thing for BG fans with having a 2 win season this year, it's that Clawson is nowhere near anyone's radar.
Re: Coaches who were fired
I never heard Clawson say that his (their) objective was to win and get out either! Beckman did say that!!!

Make no mistake here if Clawson wins enough to get an opportunity to go anywhere near the East coast he's gone.factman wrote:I never heard Clawson say that his (their) objective was to win and get out either! Beckman did say that!!!![]()
