Not sure how we got on to the subject of how polite clawson is at the dinner table, I thought this was about his post season press conference. I still think he needs to instill a toughness in this team and light a fire under some of the assistant coaches, not talk about what coulda and shoulda been if not for injuries that happen to every team every year in the country

Coach Clawson is the man for the job....give him time. If he doesn't produce, changes will be made.

BTW, I've talked with Coach a number of times...also by email. His emails are very sincere and there is no doubt in my mind he wants to build a powerhouse. Unfortunately, our program took some big hits the last couple years under Brandon.

Thank you for proving your ignorance (at least your grammar was better in this post...). Everybody else seemed to find the connection between my dinner with him and the post-season press conference in my statement. And no, I don't ignore the fact we went 2-10. Do you think any true Falcon fan could ignore or be happy with a 2-10 season? No.

This year, we were pretty much starting from page 1 with the shape this program was left in from Brandon compounded with a whole slew of injuries. I believe in Clawson's ability to have this team on the right track next year. As he has stated to me and others, he is looking to build a fantastic program, but that takes time. As I said in my first post, I will keep my faith in Clawson until he proves to me there is no reason to do so. He's a good person and I believe he's a good coach, but like Redwingtom said, if that doesn't start translating into wins, then you can start looking for a new coach.

It's been brought up before, but Clawson has built programs. I'm sure Fordham and Richmond were glad they didn't dump him after his first or second years. And, the 2008 Richmond team won the FCS Championship when his first recruiting class were RS JRs and SRs.

Fordham (Year/Overall/Conference/Conf Rank)
1999 / 0–11 / 0–6 / 7th
2000 / 3–8 / 1–5 / 6th
2001 / 7–4 / 5–2 / 3rd
2002 / 10–3 / 6–1 / T-1st (Div I-AA Quarterfinals)
2003 / 9–3 / 4–3 / T-3rd

Richmond
2004 / 3–8 / 0–8 / 5th
2005 / 9–4 / 7–1 / 1st (Div I-AA Quarterfinals)
2006 / 6–5 / 3–5 / T-4th
2007 /11–3 / 7–1 / 1st (Div FCS Semifinal)
