MAC championship week. I'm pretty sure that nobody predicted Miami to end up in the MAC title game. Hell, Phil Steele had them tied for last in the east.
Friday, December 3
Northern Illinois vs Miami, 7:00 pm
I'm going with NIU to win the MAC. Miami's been a great story, great turnaround, and an all-around good team. However, NIU is ranked nationally for a reason. They are the real deal. I'll go with NIU big. I mean, seriously, did you see what they did to Toledo? And does anybody really think Miami is that much better than Toledo, if they're even better than Toledo at all? NIU 62 - 24.
Good luck, and thanks for playing along this year!

This is a very easy pick. Perhaps we can spice it up with score predictions.
I say NIU wins 56-26.

Northern Illinois will win this game, although Miami's defense will keep the game relatively under control for at least a while. I'll say:
Miami 20
Northern Illinois 35
Miami 20
Northern Illinois 35
24. Quality provider of the truth, for better or for worse.

I'm not holding out for any miracles.... but I my loyalty is with Miami (behind BG of course)
Watch QB Austin Boucher (yes - pronounced like the water boy). He's the second string QB and a redshirt freshman. He was heavily recruited by OSU and other big schools, but choose to play at Miami. Looked very good against Temple and Akron. He's definitely getting a good feel for the offense and playing at this level.
Either way..... the most improved team in the nation is going bowling and Coach Haywood has already been named MAC Coach of the Year..... should be coach of the year for the entire FBS. CLASS ACT GUY..... Took the field mic after the Temple Game and personally thanked the fans and alumni for supporting the team.

Miami will put up a fight...make no mistake. They aren't nearly as talented or physical as NIU but they will be ready. I think NIU wins 45-28.

If I pick NIU and go 1-0 for the season do I win based on winning percentage?

No - unfortunately there's a swimsuit portion to the competition.kdog27 wrote:If I pick NIU and go 1-0 for the season do I win based on winning percentage?
