We're gonna go to Athens, and Muncie, and Kalamazoo, and Akron, and Oxford, and Buffalo, and Kent, and Toledo, and Dekalb, and Ypsilanti! And then we're going to Cleveland to win our 7th straight MAC title!! YEAH!!!

Now if only we would've beaten Evansville...

That was a fantastic performance all the way around. LP with 31 points, 8-16 from the field, 5-9 3pts, 10-10 FT-FTA. Wow! Hennegan added 11 boards and was 1pt away from a double-double! Everybody played hard from start to finish.

I couldn't hear a thing in that arena tonight except for crowd noise and occasionally Curt Miller yelling

Awesome game, atmosphere was great and could have been a lot better if they had hyped this game up. Most people I talked to had no idea we play Vandy or had no idea they were ranked.

I realize we don't have the most steller marketing department, that has been discussed at length in probably every forum on this website, but there is a reason they release a story about the schedule being announced, and then put said schedule on cards, posters, websites, in newspaper and other places. I mean its 2010 people should be able to find out there is a game on a night without the need of the marketing department banging us on the head to remind us there is a game, now getting you to the game and making worth your wild, thats a different story

Great game last night i might be injured but i still stood up for the entire game. And of course some people who were sitting behind me said a couple of times to sit down, if you can't see stand up. At least the fans to my right were standing and getting loud. Took them a little bit to get into the game and get loud! But at least they did unlike the fans to the left of me! Also the Band did an excellent job last night! I said this before and i will say it again! We have the best band in the whole USA there is none better!

It was kind of hard to not know that we were playing Vandy! after all they did announce it at the last home game before the girls went on the road! and to not know they were ranked? how bout reading the newspaper or maybe watching ESPN? Hell i knew ever since the beginning of the year! Of course i can't help it if i actually care who BG plays!

Agree. With schedules announced months in advance people should have been well aware of last evenings game. However I do have a gripe of the sentinel-tribune. They do a decent job of writing a pregame story. However, my parents live in BG, and they do not get their sentinel delivered until 5:30. Some people in their area get it around 6. Personally I would like to see any pregame articles published a day before the big game. Now The Blade is a different story as most people get The Blade by 8am but for those relying on The Sentinel-Tribune to remind local townies of a big game publishing a story on game day doesn't give people much time to make arrangements.

Great job on the victory against Vandy lady Falcons! It is truly AMAZING what this program has accomplished in the last few years.

I wish the attendance could more accurately reflect the level of success the program enjoys, but for whatever the reason, there seems to be a disconnect between the surrounding community and BG basketball [women's and men's]. To some extent this can be directed at the student body as well. Attendance last night was roughly 15% of total enrollment at BG. That's alot of bodies on AND off campus unaccounted for.

I did notice in the media guide the athletic department received a $34,000 NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Grant Program specifically to be used for on-campus marketing events to boost attendance at women's games. It mentions "tailgating" events as one way the money will be spent.

I hope the attendance gets better with the Stroh, but I won't hold my breath.

yea I understand there are schedules, and that's great that we took the time to look at that but we are also on a forum for college woman's basketball so I would expect everyone here to have realized that but the majority of BGSU students did not come here for to watch girls basketball and do not go to many games and probably don't care to check the schedule.
