"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Ohio State is a terrible place to play hockey. They have to throw tshirts into the stand just to get people to cheer at the beginning of every period. They have less people show up to major games than our home games. I have BG season tickets, but cant make the game; next time this happens I will have to make a post on here to give them away. It should be a good one though. Even though OSU played U of M well, they are not that good of a team, but just like us it just depends on what team walks out of the locker room. Our school and our program is far superior to theirs in my opinion. OSU is a football(maybe basketball) school who is going to get put in their place (beneath us in the CCHA) after this weekend!

Ohio State has a lot more top end talent than we do. They also play well against us most of the time, so I don't feel real good about this series. Our goalies have been giving us a chance every game, but I think we'll struggle to score again.

While I agree with your basic sentiment, (tOSU IS a football school, and VCA is NOT an exciting venue for hockey)...your post is factually inaccurate. OSU has drawn 20,519 to 7 homes games, for an average of 2931. We've drawn 17,911 for 8 dates, average of 2239. They drew 5454 and 5285 last weekend against the skunks. We have not put 5000 in the building since before most of these players were born (1989)

End of the 2nd, still 1-0 BG. Anybody know what band is here? Largest I've seen at a BG hockey game.

Thank for clearing that up Freddie; I was not aware of the stats. I was referring to the student sections more or less and when you sit in OSUs arena it seems like less. So regardless of the actual total of people at the game it feels like there are more people at a BG game because of the type of venue and what I feel is a more authentic fan support. For a city like Columbus and a school the size of OSU they should be able to support their team a heck of a lot better than they do; especially when you consider the size of BG and the community...at least we have more corn.

And to the other comment about top end talent being at OSU. I completely disagree with you. Stats aside after watching each of these teams play OSU belongs in the basement of the CCHA. Close game tonight w/ a loss in overtime...hopefully BG can get the win or at least some points tomorrow. The new coach has done an amazing job already with this program so far...

If only there was a fix for the conditioning. Actually, the lack thereof. Boys looked dead tired at the end of the second and didn't look any better when they came out of the locker room for the third.
