Vargas and Montose

Sentinel Tribune article today that Vargas and Montrose have left the team.

Why would something like this happen mid-year? Are they transferring to another college? Does anyone know anything else about this situation?

Neither player has gotten any substantial playing time. Probably best for all involved that they go separate ways.

Did they leave, or were they allowed to leave?
Were they on scholarship?

As far as I know it was the player's decision to leave. I can't imagine he'd cut a player halfway through the season. There's just too much risk if guys getting banged up and needing players to step in.

Assuming Sucher doesn't enroll in '11-'12 we still have one opening available if no one else leaves (unlikely).
