New "BGSU" letters on football stadium
Re: New "BGSU" letters on football stadium
After driving around on the East side of town a few times, I got to say that the "STROH CENTER" sign really stands out. I mean you can read that plain as day over at Meijer. So easily recognizable from the Interstate. I wonder if any thought was given to putting up "DOYT PERRY STADIUM" or "THE DOYT" instead of the "BGSU".

The entire area looks sharper, from the "green" lots to how the Stroh Center is shaping up. You get much more of a feeling that you are entering "BGSU territory" with how the buildings and facilities surround you.
The Wolf Center has finally taken a shape that doesn't look "as bad" as it was looking a few months ago. The new NW Dorm can actually be seen from I-75 as well. Collectively the projects are all giving a really nice lift to the appearance of the campus.

I went back to campus a few weeks ago and it's so nice to see everything coming together on the Stroh Center. Glad to see they updated the letters on the Doyt too. I still think having the Stroh closer to campus would've been ncier for undergrads to just walk to like AA but it could've been worse if they'd gone with the original plan of having it *way* out by the highway exit.
Can't wait to go back and see a game there!

Honestly, though, it's not like a lot of students are showing up to the men's or the women's games this year (or last year, or the year before, etc.), even with the arena right in the center of campus. I think the location of the Stroh is fine -- people will attend games next year, just because of the new arena, and if they enjoy their experience they will be back.golfertk14 wrote:I went back to campus a few weeks ago and it's so nice to see everything coming together on the Stroh Center.
