WMU & KSU each hit 10 wins with victories tonight

WMU is now 10-3 overall, 3-0 in the MAC. KSU is 10-4 overall, 3-1 in the MAC. Both teams led the West and East, respectively.

Kent really smoked Miami in front of 5,000+ at the MAC Center, 68-49. Don't look now but here come the Flashes...again....with ONE SR, Nate Gerwig.

It is amazing to me how Kent State has done this. For a school that used to be so bad not so long ago, to making the NCAA or NIT year after year after year, no matter who their players are or who is coaching them! That's impressive. They really have put together a nice "program" there at Kent State. For a place that doesn't really have that nice of a campus or facility (just my opinions), it's pretty amazing how they've done it there. My hat's off to them, because they have just OWNED us over the last eight years! BG is 2-13 in its last 15 games against Kent State, including a mark of just 1-10 in the last 11 meetings. The lone win was that game we came back from 20 plus points down at halftime on the road and somehow won! And here's another kicker - BG hasn't beaten Kent State at home at Anderson Arena since the 1999-2000 season with Anthony Stacey. Kent's State's senior class last year went undefeated at Anderson Arena after winning at BG four consecutive years! Wow! The icing on the cake - Kent State has put BG out of the MAC Tournament three of the last four years. There's no doubt that Kent State is the torn in our side concerning MAC basketball teams. This year, we only play them on the road.

No doubt 33....they have really taken it to us.

Good thing we rock them in football 99% of the time.

Yeah, football has certainly balanced things out for BG with Kent State. It still would be nice to beat them once in a while in basketball though. It seems most other MAC teams get a win against them once in a while here and there. I'd bet we have the worst record against them over the last seven or eight years in basketball, yet, we have won the second most MAC games of any team in the last several years.
