BG vs Kent

Post by bgsufalcon24 »

Big, B!G game getting underway in about 40 minutes or so. This could very well be our toughest MAC game all season, seeing as Toledo and CMU are both home. Hoping for another falcon victory! GO BG!!

BG comes into this one at 15-1, Kent at 13-3. Both are 3-0 in the MAC. Curt Miller vs Bob Lindsay. Something's gotta give.

L.P. Has always played well against Kent. I believe she has a 30pt and 40pt game in her career against Kent. I expect a strong showing from Lauren today

Kent also has not lost at home this year.

Should be a good one!

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Where are you getting the feed? Is it free?

2nd question: Does it look as ugly as it sounds over the radio?

A defensive battle. Very low scoring game. Lots of turnovers and cold shooting from the tough defense

Kent 20
BG 18

We withstood the initial punch. I see BG coming out strong in the 2nd half

Go Falcons

No it is not free. And personally I like a defensive battle. We needs these kinds of tests. Not every game will be a cupcake. Next weeks game will be on tv! Mac game of the week vs CMU

Seems like we always have a slow start in the M.A.C. Center. I remember my first collegiate broadcast was the MAC opener vs. Kent State on Jan. 7, 2009 and we were down 20-7 and make a 22-2 run to take the lead in about 5 minutes on the clock. Hopefully they can make the adjustments for the 2nd half.

Not free, it was 6 was $6.95

On the home page, in the box on the right that shows the upcoming games, there is a link you can click on that says "Live Video" (along with live stats and live audio). It will take to the kent site that sponsors the video feed.

And yes, we're missing a lot of baskets that we should be making! I have faith that Curt will stomp loud enough in the locker room and we'll pick up the pace considerably in the second half!

He'll probably stomp loud enough to hear it on the court from the locker room.

Agreed gmartin. We can't possibly shoot this poorly the whole game, can we? The turnovers are the bigger problem, if we can limit those we should be in good shape.

I can't believe we have this many turnovers... According to the game notes we've only had more than 15 turnovers in 2 games:
19 vs Evansville
17 vs Austin Peay

We had 11 in the first half and as of right now (1st media timeout) we have 13.

Ugh. Let's get it together!

This is very reminiscent of the 40-31 turd between Toledo and NIU the other night. Both teams had over 20 TOs and shot less than 30% from the field. I'll say this much though, I'll take the win, any way we can get it. Let's go falcons, get the ball and start building a lead!
