Re: SHAUN SUISHAM
Shaun always seemed like a bit of a headcase, but knowing his head isn't on the chopping block constantly seems to have really let his talent come through. Looks like a good fit, and he's having a real good time out there.

Re: SHAUN SUISHAM
Collingsworth was commenting how he was catching the snap with his chest instead of his hands. What do you expect? Shaun is not a punter. He had Ed Reed field one at the 5 that was called back, an like was mentioned earlier had one inside the 20. Shaun does seem more comfortable on FG 40 or longer.
As a Steeler fan, very happy to see Shaun in the black and gold

Word out of Baltimore is that Sepulveda tore his ACL for the third time. I would assume the Steelers sign a new punter for the rest of the year, but don't be surprised if they throw Shaun back in there if the new guy struggles.

I didn't see much of the game, but I did catch that scene after it was over. That's got to feel good for Shaun to have the head coach seek him out after a game like that. Congrats Shaun, keep up the good work (except when playing the Browns

I think it had to do more with it being really really cold then anything. He was just being more cautious.tiznow wrote:Collingsworth was commenting how he was catching the snap with his chest instead of his hands. What do you expect? Shaun is not a punter.

Not to nit-pick, but FWIW, I thought the on-screen graphic said Reed was 0-4. And oh yeah...he made a 44-yarder against GB yesterday for San Francisco...LOLgmartin wrote:Shaun is now 5 for 5 on FG from 40-49 yds. Jeff Reed was 0-5.

Another ho-hum 3 for 3 day for Shaun in pretty crappy conditions in Pittsburgh. He's on fire right now.

Finished up the regular season 14/15 on field goals. Hopefully he keeps it up in the postseason and latches on with the Steelers for a long long time.

With his two fields goal today Shaun went over the century mark for his NFL career.

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Re: SHAUN SUISHAM
Eventful day for Shaun. He made a huge tackle on the opening kickoff which may have saved a touchdown, then missed a 43-yarder left in the first half. There was a slight breeze pushing it, but it was to the closed end of the field, so I would call it a bad miss.
To his credit, he bounced back and buried a 35-yarder to break a tie early in the 4th. His kickoffs were solid all day except for the 2 or 3 he was told to squib. He must have been fired up because he was consistently getting it to the goal line, which was real nice to see.

I attended the Steelers game (vs Ravens) and none of the fans I sat around were bothered by Shaun's FG miss. In fact, after each of his PATs I heard a few fans call out his name "Way to go Shaun", "that's it Suisham", etc. Of course, I told as many folks as possible where he went to school.

It was a high snap as well, but he should have hit it. Jeff Reed would have been a matador on the opening kickoff. Shaun made a nice play
