Aaron Hillman to Michigan (Move confirmed!!)
Aaron Hillman to Michigan (Move confirmed!!)
A fellow alum informs that Aaron Hillman is heading to Michigan as head strength coach. Haven't seen official announcement yet. Aaron worked with Hoke at Ball State

Re: Aaron Hillman to Michigan?
You're close...Aaron Wellman is going to UM. He was Hoke's strength coach at SDSU and IIRC, Ball State
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Oh thank God. Losing Hillman would be huge.

Per Angelique Chengelis, Detroit News (UM beat writer), Hillman will be the Asst Strength coach, and Wellman the HC.

UM's Scout.com site and its Mods confirm the news as well.
Coach Hillman to be #2 at UM with Aaron Wellman coming from San Diego State. Coach Hillman's addition makes this one of the top, if not the top strength and conditioning unit in the country.

Congrats to Coach Hillman...I've always wondered why he didn't move with Urban. We probably will bring in someone from a IAA school that used to work with Clawson.

I don't know. Mike Ward may be looking to return to BGDrago wrote:Congrats to Coach Hillman...I've always wondered why he didn't move with Urban. We probably will bring in someone from a IAA school that used to work with Clawson.

Coach Hillman did a hell of a job for BG for a long time. He'll be missed....and I'd love to see Mike Ward back at BG instead of tsun.

Okay, what exactly did Hillman do to make us so "strong"? Granted, I am just a layman, but I don't seem to remember us being any dominant physical force the last few years. Or was it just because the starting point for our recruits was so low?

Re: Aaron Hillman to Michigan (Move confirmed!!)
Hillman has been around for some time and will be missed. He is a players type coach. The team that shows up this fall is made in the off-season and the sooner the better to get a replacement. Best of luck at Big Blue. The buckeyes are in trouble now.
