The Steelers love them some MAC quarterbacks. They took a chance on Omar too.

Yep - it's a shame he couldn't read the playbook. He looked pretty good in the pre-season games he got in. Batch probably would not have made the team this year if Ben hadn't, uhh, done what he did. He probably also would have been cut if Dixon hadn't torn his knee up while Ben was out. Ol' Charlie just won't die.

Steelers also have Harrison and Antonio Brown from the MAC. Brown had the most crucial catch in each of their two playoff games so far. As soon as Ward retires, Brown will be a very very good slot receiver for the Steelers for years to come. I can't believe a guy with his numbers and talent fell so far in the draft. Oh wait - yes I can.

Green Bay's Erik Walden is having trouble with an injured ankle and Briggs is listed right behind him on the depth chart. It's not nice to root for injuries, but that would be kinda cool. CMU grad Frank Zombo is also in line for some PT at OLB if Walden can't go.

If my math is right, counting IR & Practice Squad, the MAC has the 4th most players in the SB. SEC-20, ACC & Big10-18, MAC-14, So the MAC is ahead of 3 AQ Conferences Big12-13, Pac10-11, BigEast-4. There are also 12 1AA & 2 D2 players. And NO Rockets.

Erik Walden is inactive, pushing Briggs into the No. 2 spot on the depth chart (apparently), behind CMU grad Frank Zombo, who is playing somewhat hurt himself.

Go out there and prove yourself Diyral! Roll Along!!

Yes awesome Briggs, he got a lot of face time tonight. And a penalty called against him (although I think it was crap).
