There is a kid from Divison II state champion Columbus Brookhaven who is a 6'0 300 pound defensive tackle who was selected All City and, despite
his size is considered extemely quick and very powerful. I apologize because I don't know his name. If you ever saw Brookhaven play you saw how much team speed they had. I know his weight for his height might indicate a fat, sluggish type of player but if he can maintain his quickness he could be a real find. I wonder if he is being recruited by Divison I schools and if BG has any interest.

The Insiders have him listed as an offensive lineman. :shrug:OptionQB wrote: A loaded defensive weekend featuring great defensive prospects:

Just did some searching and Terrill has a twin brother Tirdell. Both were all-conf defensive tackles:
Terrill Byrd Colerain Def Line Senior 6'0" 289
Tirdell Byrd Colerain Def Line Senior 6'0" 265
Given their sizes, I would bet we are going after Tirdell.

Trust me Warthog, TERRILL Byrd is coming in for a weekend visit. Theinsiders seems to be slowing down with their updates recently, but he is very much listed as a DT and has a visit scheduled for BG for 1/14/05 on Rivals.com
As for the Brookhaven kid, the name is escaping me as well, but three of his teammates have committed to Minnesota:

I believe you Option. Just pointing on a flaw with these recruiting websites. They don't have everything quite right. Besides, 6'0" 290 lbs doesn't sound right for an O-lineman. Maybe we could get Terrill and Terdill in a package deal, kinda like the Pollitz twins? Oh wait, we didn't get them, did we.

He mentions in a Rivals.com article that he is leaning towards UC and UT, but wasn't sure so he wanted to see his options. Unless something has happened in the last 24 hours, I still say he shows up for the visit. I have never said we were 100% getting him, I was just completely thrilled he decided to come and visit. Andre Revels did commit to UC. Terrill Byrd as of now is still available according to all Internet sources.

A lot of our recruits seem to be won over once they meet the people in our program -- players, coaches, students etc. BGSU is a great community, and it can't be understood through a brochure.
As long as he comes, I figure we have a good shot. He wouldn't be coming if his mind was completely made up.
