GO!!!!! BG!!!!!
Have fun!
Watch out for pack "D"
Get the cannon effect on your side!
See the ball go in a huge basket!
Rebound the ball as if it's gold---'cause it is
Bumps, bruises & hurts let you know you're alive
Hear the crowd cheer even if there's only an echo of the bouncing ball
See success, grab success
YOU CAN!
Blizzard be @!#$%%@!!!$^%&*(

BE SAFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm shocked that the MAC didn't postpone the game until later in the week, I don't know how our ladies are going to get out of Dekalb in the midst of this storm of epic proportions.

Good to right the ship though. While I'd usually say that a single regular season game doesn't mean much, that didn't apply here. This game was big, and hopefully the victory, a CLOSE victory for once, will get us back on track. I have full confidence that Miller, Roos, and Co. will have this team playing great basketball heading toward tournament time, they almost always do.

The Miami University men's team got stranded coming back from Toledo and spent the night in the Vandalia jail back during the Blizzard of 1978. Is there a women's prison or home for wayward gals twixt here and Dekalb?

BG wins 67-64 after trailing with less than a minute in the game. Whew....sure hasn't been easy lately. Lauren had another off night shooting, I believe, 2-10 from the field. Jen Uhl led BG with 18 pts and Maggie Hennegan added 16.

Lauren scored 10 pts and now has 2,106...only 16 pts from tying the career scoring record. The Freaks will be at AA for the DH Saturday to see her, hopefully, pass Jackie Motycka.

We got the win so the long bus ride back from DeKalb will be a lot better, whenever they get on the road. 18-4, 6-3 MAC.

TOGETHER WE ATTACK!!!

FYI, I just scraped off my car in the parking lot. Now sitting inside as it warms up. I got here at 4:15 local time and it is almost 7:45. In the 3 1/2 hrs my car was sitting in the parking lot I measured 8 3/4 inches of snow on the roof, 7 1/2 on the hood (some probably melted from warm engine). Regardless that is a 3 inch rate per hour!! Oh and it took my 2 hrs and 20 minutes to drive 32 miles earlier. Clearly the prediction of 2 feet in the Chicagoland area was correct. Staying in town for the Men's game tomorrow. Clearly this team is fighting through some tough times but any win on the road is a great win. Time to get back on our run.

Ok, time for the 3 hour drive back to my friends house. And only going 30 miles. Yes for those good in math that is an average of 10 mph. That's how bad it is out here

One thing I failed to mention. It was nice to see the Men's team and coaches at the Women's game. But then what else you going to do in a blizzard. Nearly every restaurant and gas station was closed after noon today.

UT won the game and I went home that night a happy man. It was quite warm and pouring rain. Woke up to a blown out storm window and about 6" of snow piled up on my bed with a few more feet outside..

Fully realizing that Coach M. is the master of overstatement, I am STILL curious as to his post-game interview in which he says that Lauren has "a major foot issue." I can understand the "two banged-up knees" phrase that immediately preceded that, but any knowledge out there about the "ped problem"?

Just woke up to snow drifts of about 6 feet. No power either here in Geneva, IL. Ohare and Midway airports are closed until at least 8pm tonight. We officially got 21 inches of snow here. Dekalb to Rockford IL locally got 27 inches. Heck even downtown Chicago on Michigan Ave with protection from the buildings got 19 inches. Too make matters worse now we may get locally 6 to 12 more inches as the winds come from the east creating lake effect snow

I was around for the Blizzard of 78. This storm is MUCH worse but unlike that blizzard this storm dumped all this snow in half the time. And I never have seen lightening and thunder like I did last night in a snow storm

But back to LP. Remember she hurt her ankle two years ago at the end of the season. She also tweaked it for a few games last year. Something is wrong with her. She hasn't been her same self ever since the Kent game. I was thinking last week that maybe she had mono as she was a step slower and didn't attack the rim as much. But having an ankle injury is possible.

gmartin - - I thought it was her KNEE that got tweaked at the end of the Syracuse game, not ankle. Regardless, I hope that the end of yesterday's game restores the confidence. Alumni Day on Saturday in Anderson would be a great day to have the renewed LP back to break the all-time scoring record with Jackie and many others in the stands.

Thanks for the snow update too. Wow.......lightning and thunder. That is almost unheard of in winter. I was a freshman in Rodgers Hall during the 78 blizzard, and so I DO hope that you have running water...........as a bunch of sanitary college guys in a dorm with no running water was NOT a pretty picture.
