Todd Walker's constant berating of the officials is growing tiresome. Even if the refs are bad it's like he is crying wolf everytime and is getting old.

I haven't listened to him much this season, but it's getting old for me in this game alone. Tired of hearing him say how they haven't gotten a call all night or whatever...just annoying as hell. MAC officiating isn't good, but very rarely is it as one sided as he makes it sound.

Saturday's officials were pretty poor, but they were not, IMO, one sided in either direction.


Ugh...total choke job to get to OT here. C'mon guys, let's hope they can find some more energy and pull it out in OT.

DAMN! We missed three of our last four free throws in the closing seconds and it cost us big time, headed to OT. We kept about a 6-point cushion for what seemed liked the entire second half until the final :30 or so. We have to pull this one out and we "should" have closed this out in regulation. Come on BG!

I love emotionally involved broadcasts but sometimes he sounds more like a fan and takes it personally if a call is not made or a guy walks all over the place or even if Dee Brown doesn't do anything with the final possesion. Just sounds like an annoying fan watching the game at times. . .

Granted I am a Horger-homer and made that apparent when Todd started. Todd's football was stronger than his basketball call but he got better and improved his hoops call and I grew to "accept" or at least become used to his calls. But lately the times I tune in to hoops or football it gets to that annoying fan side commentary more often than not, kind of a glass half empty take that just gets tiring.

Well, at least we won.

Not to sound like a broken MP3, but better free throw shooting and that game was put away a long time ago. Better free throw shooting and this is a rock solid team.

I know everybody is on Todd Walker's back for bias right now, but I gotta wonder ... when we have 8 fouls and they have 2, is there something going on? I mean, I just don't see how one team could possibly be playing that much closer than the other to have that kind of foul disparity. Possibly, just possibly, the refs were calling BG a lot tighter than NIU in order to give them a chance given that two starters were out with the flu, a bench guy was out recovering from an appendectomy, and another depth guy was hobbled with an ankle injury. It's not right for the refs to call one team tighter than the other, but if it happened today, I could believe it.

Still ... a road win is a road win. Go Falcons!
