Should make for an interesting afternoon on Sept. 17.

Apparently their average of 19 points a game last season was too much?!?

No kidding...I'll bet Hammb will want to sit down with GB after the game for a couple beers. :-D

Doesn't the offensive coordinator for the opponent usually sit in the booth near the 50 yard line...ya know...about 15 feet behind Hammb?

I was starting to wonder if he was going to land anywhere. A lot of hiring went on. I hope he has 11 great games.

Haha...congrats to him!

Despite my hatred for Gregg Brandon the head coach, I never had a problem with him as a person. I met him & his wife at Pollyeye's one night, and lemme tell ya she was NOT a fan of me, but he was cordial. Either way, I wish him the best (except for against us, of course). He was a very good OC for us under Urban, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if he had success at Wyoming.

Congrats coach! Best of luck in the new gig. Gregg Brandon is originally from the Colorado area so I bet he's really happy to have a college gig close to his home turf. Best of luck in every game from here on out ... including Wyoming / BG games. In that case, I hope for a shootout between the two offenses.

Yeah I knew Gregg Brandon personally too. He's a good quality guy. Wyoming's getting a steal here if you ask me.

will the better coach please step forward. I think GB will pull out all stops. Head coach is from Toledo. Maybe we should have the sisters of the poor. This could get ugly [-o<

It was before the start of a season (I think it was his last year here, but don't remember for sure), and I believe the conversation went something like this:

Me: Hi Coach, don't want to interrupt too much, but just wanted to say that I'm a big fan of BG football, and an avid poster on ay-ziggy-zoomba.com. I've been a pretty harsh critic of you in the past, but I'm hoping for good things this coming season.
Coach Brandon: Well nice to meet you, thanks for supporting the team, etc, etc,
Mrs. Brandon: You're not that hammb guy are you?
Me: Yes, actually I am.
Mrs. Brandon: Oh well, I don't have anything nice to say to you, then.
Me: Sorry, I just wanted to say hi, and wish you luck this year.
Coach Brandon: Well thanks, we'll do our best.

So basically she is the one that brought up my posting name and she had it pegged. Apparently she (and presumably him) followed the boards, they were well aware of my posting, and apparently weren't a big fan of me. Unlike many internet message board people I don't hide behind a screen name. I've met numerous members of this board, many of whom I have disagreed with, and stand behind my comments. I did find it rather humorous that I was apparently infamous in the Brandon household.

The game vs Wyoming just got a whole lot more interesting....I wonder how much tape Clawson has from Brandon's offense left over from years past. I have a feeling we'll need it. The big question is, will Clawson throw GB under the bus in the postgame if we lose....since that is the go to move anytime we lose for him and GC.

It was fair of DC and GC to pin last year on the prior regime...mostly. It's all on him now.

The MAC is a spread conference ..a number of schools play a 4-2-5 defense specifically to stop it. We play it all the time...we practice for it all the time... I think we'll be ready for Coach Brandon... :-)

The Wyoming HC Dave Christensen was the OC for Gary Pinkel back in the 90's... Also the TE coach is an ex-Rocket(Jim Harding from Maumee)... A couple of reasons for a little Falcon hate towards the Cowboys...
