TOO MUCH HAND-WRINGING

Post by Hdog »

There is WAY too much worry here about playing time issues for players. Based on the one game I saw in person [UTSA] and what I’ve heard and read I don’t see anything but good stuff happening with this close knit team.

As far as C. Black goes, if he or others are not playing tough, physical basketball in the post with lots of energy, then the coach would be doing the team wrong if some other guys don’t get the minutes. Again, based on what I’ve heard Orr say in interviews [and players too] everyone seems to understand that you better bring your “A GAME” or your sitting.

As far as Oglesby goes, I don’t think Orr totally trusts him on the defensive assignments yet. Maybe the WAY he is fouling [out of position] is giving Orr a reason to sit him lately.

Bottom line, everybody RELAX, and bring the noise Saturday v Western Michigan.

I think I was the only one who mentioned it and it was just a comment in passing that said I would be worried about a kid who had early success and then had hit a wall. Then we had a discussion about whether or not that was something to be worried about. I think everyone is relaxed. Certainly relaxed enough to not make an entire new thread about it.

If we all agreed on these things, these message boards would serve no purpose and my lunch break would be MUCH less entertaining.

Keep on with the differing opinions, Falcon Fanatics.

This is what I never get. We dont come on here to find out that water is wet. We come on here for discussion and to learn new things.

Water was dry until Orr got here and took its confidence...now it's just wet all the time.
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

It is very imporrtant to put water in a good position to be wet early or it may lose its consistency and evaporate.

Sometimes this board reminds me of a training seminar I had to sit through a while back...

Trust Oglesby? Play the guy until he fouls out or passes out...he's a freak. Period.
