Congratulations to all selected!!! It's going to be an exciting day! =D>

I can't let it go unsaid, that this is really a "post 1970's...after we joined the MAC All Anderson Team". Unforutnately, the requirement of having to have received All MAC honors eliminated any womens basketball player who ran the Anderson Arena court prior to about 1982, regardless of their achievements.

Hats off to those athletes too.......those who laid the groundwork for what we all enjoy today.

GO BG!

Well written WBBFAN. I would rather see an all BGSU team. 30 years from now there may be an all Stroh Center team, and a lot of great players would not be included.

Have to miss this game as I am down in Dallas for the game tomorrow.

BG trailing 14-5. Less than 12 min remaining.

BG has committed 8 TO's and once again started the game very slow. 5 of our last games had very slow starts. We need to figure out why and get this corrected before March

I never thought I would say this, but it looks like Curt Miller is having a hard time either A.motivating his team, or B.getting them in the right mindset to start games.

It's just ridiculous. We can't keep taking ourselves out of games early in the first half like this.

BG regroups and is up by 8 at half. LP leads us with 12 points.

And being a former coach and working around coaches with the Colts you can't blame the coaches if the players come out slowly!!!! You can do all you want to motivate an athlete but it is the athlete that needs to perform. Regardless we weathered the storm and are back up by 8

BG wins 61-46. Prochaska led BG with 21 and Uhl had double double.

The team has some time off before its next game on Feb 12 against EMU. Time to hit the practice floor for the stretch run!

From looking at the play-by-play and the score, it looks like BG absolutely hustled their asses off after falling into that early hole, especially on the defensive end.

This was the kind of performance that BG needed to get back on track, and they did it while spotting the Cardinals an early lead to boot. That obviously is still a big concern, but this was a very nice win.

gmartin, I'd like to hear your ideas/theories on why teams start games poorly. If it's not coaching that's responsible, then do you chalk it up to bad game preparation on the part of the athletes, lack of focus early in games, maybe just bad luck with shots not going in, etc, or is it something else?

Falcon 24,
FWIW, interesting listening to Curt Miller's post game .... admits that 2-3 days of game plan went down the tubes in the 1st 6-7 min. or so, when BSU came out with something they hadn't shown ALL YEAR... took BG time to get untracked.... the Turnovers absolutely KILLED us early, but the Defense turned things around.... one thing about this team...though they're not a particularly good rebounding team, they DO work hard on D....it can ignite an offense, and today was one of those days.
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)

Great to see the win on the day the All Anderson team was announced. Great job by BG to come roaring back and take control of the game.
