Ice storm....

Post by Flipper »

It's fricking nasty up here..power went out last night around 2 am...luckily we wired a generac generator in last year or we'd be sitting here with no power until Wednesday (Consumers energy estimate). So, we hve heat, some lights and for some reason very few outlets...there's like 6 open slots on the transfer switch and we have no lights or working outlets in the living room or family room..God our contrator was such a bozo...

Be safe too, Flip!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Yeah just to go about 10 miles from my house to Kroger took me about 2 hours to complete as none of the roads were plowed and the road itself was a complete sheet of ice. Took me about 15 minutes just to get in the car. After last nights covering of ice my doors were sealed shut and had to turn to hot water to try to get the dang door opened. Hopefully this storm is almost over, really need to roads cleared by tomorrow night!!!!!

We're good up here, thank you. The power company says we should have our lights back on by the 24th...assuming the generator doesn't blow up or something we should be ok....

Good luck Flip! We have a ton of snow here in Akron. Makes leaving for Florida in two days even better. LOL

So much for Global Warming...I mean Climate Change...I mean Climate Control or whatever the hell they're calling the farce these days. If I ever see Al Gore, I'll punch him in the face.

The scientists say that dramatic shifts in weather and violent weather are direct results of global warming. I think they are just saying whatever it takes so they can continue to study "global warming".

I don't remember naming any political party or office holder, Tom. This is about "science"...or something like that.

Slippery slope, but then I've got a couple other boards to occupy my on-line time when this one closes down...

Still waiting on the power to come back...took a long drive around the township yesterday. There's a half inch of ice on everything...the tees look like they're made of crystal when the sun hits them...
