Yeah...I think it's kind of tacky to get in to how a gift is structured or why the person giving it set it up that way. It was disclosed from the outset that the gift will materialize when Mr Frack passes...take that for what it is and leave it at that.

I guess its good that we all get our own opinions then. I dont see it tacky in anyway on an internet message board. Especially when its clearly meant for infromation gathering, as in "why would he do that?" "Whats the benefit?" kind of way.Flipper wrote:Yeah...I think it's kind of tacky to get in to how a gift is structured or why the person giving it set it up that way. Here's the best explanation I can give for how Mr. Frack decided to give his money to the basketball program....
IT'S HIS MONEY AND HE CAN DO WITH IT WHATEVER THE HELL HE WANTS!!!
None of us have to understand it better... his money, his reasons, his plan.
THANK YOU MR. FRACK!!!

I agree Grant. His generous donation was amazing. My apologies for spelling his name wrong. I didn't mean to start a big debate or people question on how he donated the money. I just kept reading in numerous threads how we would use the money he gave over the next few years to have a better recruiting budget or could bring in new coaches and pay them better. I just wanted to let everyone know that he may not see this money for 20 years. People were getting overconfident that because of this donation things would change next year and that is not the case. We will be better next year because the athletes hopefully will work harder in the offseason and be better next year because of all their hard work. It won't be from Mr. Frack's donation. I am also going to go out on a limb right now and make a prediction. BG will win the MAC Championship this year!!! And Mr. Frack will see us dancing!

How does asking why he would wait to give the money until he passed make his substantially generous gift less substantially generous? Its a question about the nuance of the gift anf the timing of it, I dont see why thats out of bounds or lessens the gift. A friend of mine has a trust that will not dissolve to his family until 20 years after everyone in his parents generation passes. It was done for a reason. I dont see the problem with asking why it was done in this situation. But its your house so I will stop asking.ZiggyZoomba wrote:Here's the best explanation I can give for how Mr. Frack decided to give his money to the basketball program....
