Still sitting in my orange chair here at AA. Don't want to leave yet. Wiley Roberts, former team manager making a THREE was amazing. Very proud for the kid. AC with 25 points was a beast.

Observations: this team has won 2 in a row by double digit margins. We have played 4 solid games in a row. Kent and Miami games were ugly at times but we played them close. I like our chances against WMU. My prediction BG 68 WMU 59.

The last two games Coach Orr has had a much better substitution pattern. Granted it helps when Thomas and Calhoun stay out of foul trouble. Take away Scott Thomas unforced turnovers and we would have had like 8 turnovers tonight. We rebounded well against a big team. We moved the ball around well and played more up tempo. Played up tempo against Buffalo and won. But the best thing I noticed last two games were the substitutions. Coach Orr rested Thomas and Calhoun on a dead ball seconds before a media timeout. That is key because you then get them those 3 extra minutes during a media timeout. They don't need to sit the bench as much.

Also nice to see Cam Black playing better. I heard he battled an injury for 2 months so its good to see him giving us minutes. Between Black, Ogles, Dabs we can switch it up a bit. If we can limit turnovers, shoot FTs and stay out of foul trouble WE WILL BE IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!!! Congrats and now onto to Q.

I'd love to see a video or hear the call of that 3 by Wiley (if any of the BGAthletics people are reading this)!

Really cool when stuff like that happens.

One of the coaches said the team was bugging the coaches all game about getting him in the game. Glad to see him hit one!

This was an awesome game to close out the old arena. Calhoun was money all night long. A'uston & Oglesby with some tremendous throwdowns. Wiley Roberts is the answer to the last Falcon to score a bucket in Anderson Arena trivia question. And we win a MAC tournament game by 20.

Absolutely AWESOME.

Thomas tweaked that ankle but came back to play a good 2nd half, hopefully it doesn't get worse when it cools down. Dabney seemed to tweak his back and never returned...hopefully he'll be good to go on Thursday. Nice to see Cam Black play better tonight.

And for those that weren't at the game the 1st half really wasn't that bad...shouldn't have been as close as the score indicated. NIU shot 50% from the field and they weren't really getting good looks. They were just knocking down jumper after jumper and many of them were contested. There was no way that would continue in the 2nd half and it didn't.

Great win guys, let's keep it up! I can't go Thursday or Saturday, but if we play I will definitely be at the Semifinal game on Friday!

LOL, I wouldn't do that no matter what, of course, but unfortunately I can't. Gotta work Friday in Toledo...I'll be busting ass to get there in time to catch the men's game, but if we make it, I'm there.

I'm sorry.........but I'm gonna say it: Coach Orr should keep his post-game press conference comments SECULAR, and not SACRED.

I admire the man, but Coach Orr needs to commit to being a college coach PROFESSIONAL, and not view a press conference as being a time to pontificate his PERSONAL beliefs.

For those who can't make it every game on Thursday, Friday and Saturday are broadcasted live this year. In years past only the semis were live but this year every game is broadcasted. That's nearly 10 hours of MAC basketball on Thursday and another 10 on Friday.

Our game tomorrow will be handled by Steve Mix and Michael Reghi... I'm guessing they'll be there for all the men's games at the Q.

Calhoun is a stud! Despite Northern playing the softest zone defense I have ever seen, Calhoun was really really good. Dee Brown has also impressed me the last two games. He has taken and made some very timely jump shots, as well as been more willing to penetrate offensively. I thought Orr shrunk the bench some last night, especially in the early 2nd half, with Thomas on a bum ankle. I hope that continues on Thursday. We need Thomas, Calhoun and Dee Brown on the court as much as possible to avoid the stretches where we struggle to score. Two good games in a row before heading to Cleveland. We know this team is streaky and lets hope we can make some noise this weekend.
