Re: All-MAC teams announced
Sounds about right.
I expect Calhoun to be a MAC POY candidate next year at this time. He's turning into a legit goto guy. Thomas continues to be steady across the stat sheet, if not a superstar.
I'm excited for the MAC tourney...more excited than I've been in a long time. This team is athletic, talented, and probably among the deepest in the conference. If Brown, Calhoun, and Crawford continue to play well we'll be a very tough out.

Couldn't agree more. Calhoun has progressed with his passing also. Last two games he had a few really nice passes that led to easy baskets, something he could not do earlier in the year. Dee Brown and his point production are key to this team. Looking over the stats, his top scoring games are generally BG wins. Shorten the rotation and let the best players do what they do come tournament time. Noon tomorrow can't get here soon enough.

Hopefully they spell his name right on the trophy.ZiggyZoomba wrote:I'd hit the like button on this one if I could.hammb wrote:Sounds about right.

Re: All-MAC teams announced
I've stated a lot on here, and also during the games, that I don't believe Calhoun is always at fault for his reluctance to pass. It is VERY common for us to clear out once we get Calhoun the ball in the post. Watch closely and you'll see where he'll get the ball on the block, then our entire team retreats to the other side of the floor. When the double comes he oftentimes does not have a viable pass outlet option. Oftentimes there really isn't anybody that he can get the ball to in the position we put him in.guest44 wrote:Couldn't agree more. Calhoun has progressed with his passing also. This isolation is clearly our coaching staff having confidence in him and putting him in the best position to make an individual play...it looks eerily similar to the offense that Cleveland would run with LeBron a lot in year's past. It's great when he's hot (like last night), but when he's not getting those looks to fall I would really like to see us give him some outlet options.
